Unfortunately, he seems, on balance, sane. The problem is that he also seems opposed, on principle, to a number of things, including truth, justice, the American way, the US constitution and--most frighteningly, I think--diplomacy. A good leader inspires friends and dismays enemies. Trump seems hell-bent on doing the opposite.
