Sterling threw himself down the old "head back, leg out" pose, but think he realised was no contact so didn't appeal for a pen and got up right away.

 

His previous indiscretions have come back to haunt him.

 

All true but our hesitancy is as much mentality as technique...I'd even take Hendo and Can passing it sideways if it was at least quick lol..

And didn't we get beat by Swansea at home? As well as wolves and Southampton?

If our players can't pass the ball about at pace they don't deserve to be premier league players!

True but Can is a naturally defensive player and Hendo is more a supporting player who is better off the ball. We're asking them to be more creative and play quick when it's not their nature.

We need at least 2 new CM's - one deep lying playmaker and a quality box to box who can dribble with the ball.

Hendo and Can are good players in the right role, but I don't think we can accommodate both in the same midfield.

Don't know, didn't watch HT bit, but on the 3 replays the showed afterwards showed was no contact. Fact Sterling didn't even appeal for a pen should be enough to show that

Of all the disappointments this season, Can is the biggest. His problem last season was that he played in 15 minute bursts, and disappeared in 15 minute bursts too. That said, even Glen Hoddle was saying that he could run a game in those spells that he was prominent in. We just hoped that he could work on his stamina. Some hope.

The problem now is that he seems to be trying to play at the pace of a Hoddle, a Molby or a Carrick or a Hamman, and he just doesn't have anything like their skill or vision. The number of missed passes and times he is dispossessed is uncountable.

 

Can has been poor this season but he's playing with an injury. Not sure why Klopp is still risking him.

 

Oh ****. We are now 5th. And we haven't been 5th since we moved into the top 6 have we?

 

We'll have to concentrate on the FA cup now. Oh, wait...

 

Disappointing to see Didi jumping on the bandwagon re. Klopp...........easy to do when we hit a poor spell
