Have you seen anything of him to suggest he couldn't be our number 2? Thought not. Have you seen him perform for a variety of clubs across Europe? No again. He's made 403 appearances and 62 appearances in European competitions. Yeah, obviously not good enough as a reserve choice keeper
He was alright, but the management obviously didn't rate him and he clearly didn't do enough to warrant making the squad. Mannion would probably be ahead of him now.
Maybe they didn't give him a chance? He challenged them internally by questioning why they actually bought him. At £500k I 'd hazard a guess that he's no worse than our£5m keeper. Lechia Gdansk who are second in the top division in Poland seem to think he's good enough for them. They'll probably qualify for Europe.
Well he played in the win at Exeter, then after that was consigned to the U23's. Under 3 managers he never got a look in, quite a good indicator of his ability. He may or may not be any worse than David Marshall, but as he looks as useful as a marzipan dildo, that's not exactly a good sign either.
Marshall was never going to be dropped by Phelan. Bruce signed him and never played him. None of them put our best keeper in goal for a lengthy spell (Jakupovic). So I'm not inclined to believe 2 of the 3 managers would know a good keeper if he was stood in front of them kicking them in the bollocks. He clearly has ability as he wouldn't have got 403 appearances including 62 European appearances if he was ****.
Well maybe he did have that ability, but just not as much ability as Jak or McGregor. Both of those have played in the Champion's League.
Incidentally, Poland (where Kuciak has made most of his appearances, more than half - 308 not over 400) are ranked 17th in Europe by coefficient, behind the Ukraine, Bosnia and Sweden (sorry Febbos). In fact, he isn't even third choice for his country. He hasn't been called up since 2010, the manager prefers players playing in the Slovakian league.
McGregor played 51 times in Europe, I don't have the history in front of me, but I'd guess Rangers qualified for the group stages more frequently than Legia have, even with their reformation in Scottish League 2.
Guingamp's fans on Twitter seem to be reaching for the razor blades today. They drew and Salibur's replacement was rubbish by all accounts. They are even saying they'd rather have the ten million euros than lose him.
Even worse then! One comment was along the lines of "Nothing went our way today. Nothing. We dare not imagine if the departure of Salibur is confirmed.."
I've seen **** all of him, neither have you, I generally don't make a decision on a players ability until I've actually seen him play.
I have, never played in a decent league, flogged to us for a few hundred grand, given away on a free, looked **** against Exeter City.
My mate said he saw a car with French plates pull up to the players parking area and a big black guy get out. Could it be him?
