finally calmed down wife managed to pull me from the ceiling,Defoe's goals were superb , N'dongs strike was a peach, Lamaine thank you, so happy with today's performance.
About the result, of course I am. It's been an emotionally draining day away from the board for me today, though. Wish I could pick myself up a bit more and enjoy it. I hope yous all have a great night and few drinks to celebrate
Was our result unpredictable? Was Hulls? (Whenever have the bindippers ever won a game which would go in our favour). Boro are holding Spurs at half time. Our goal difference took an Almighty + today. Bournemouth & Southampton must be looking over their shoulders in dismay. Palace must be ****ting themselves. Many more unpredictable results before May. We've been here before, got the T shirt etc. I know whose shoes I'm happy to be in tonight. Red wine at the ready, bring on MOTD.
If we can turn over Southampton next weekend they would only be five points ahead of us, which is nothing. They are also on a poor run of form themselves with the League Cup only a couple of weeks away.We also are considered their bogey team by their fans. Another full house to roar the lads home, we can do this KTF.
I’d be surprised if ALL three of the lads that were substituted weren’t all injured (too badly). It seemed as if they were hell-bent on wasting time and breaking up play. I think that it may have been precautionary? Just loved when the Palace fans started to sing ‘Not fit to wear the shirt’ Allardyce looked as if he wanted to fight them. Ovieido - looked World Class compared to the recently departed LB and had Zaha in his pocket!!!!!
Moyes said that out of the 3 injuries he's most worried about Rodwell's, hamstring went. **** news for him and us.
Me too but not by this margin, the pleasing thing for me is the Palace fans reaction, they have really gone ballistic, even confronting their players at half time, how does Sam get the players confident for their next home game in such a vitriolic atmosphere. We have had our struggles at home under previous managers but after today Sam might just understand how lucky he was to have the backing of 40000+ when the chips were down. None of those Palace players can be looking forward to their remaining home fixtures, which can only be good for the fellow relegation strugglers.
My pre match prediction of a win did'nt factor in Moyes magic - this was much more than just a win - a massive 3pt result - we must keep this going with an equally massive KTF - Southampon next Sat
