True, Silva's agent sent in his CV. But.... Ehab was still brave enough to sack Phelan at the start of the January window and smart enough to bring in Silva and his backroom staff. Also he's backed him in the window. I agree with most, once a twat, always a twat.. but he's done somethings right and we should thank him for that.. it's looking like he made the perfect decision.
I have it on good authority Ehab was approached twice by Silva & both times got no response. He only took notice when Silva's agent came to Hull with Silva's CV, asked for Ehab & got him to read it. Ehab then set about trying to cut the agent out of the deal.
When Hernandez was through on goal but got crowded out at the last second a very loud yodelling noise came out of me that I've never heard before.
Well anyone still doubting the great escape ????? MS is inspiring this set of players, without a shadow of doubt I believe he will get us to safety, our leaky defence has been transformed, the KCom has been made into a fortress, we have made three of the top teams in England look distinctly average (still seething that we lost against Chelsea due to refereeing decisions), the new lads that have come in are adding to the team, I thought N`Daiye was absolutely what we have been missing, he was everywhere, fantastic debut. Niasse is a man on a mission, great goal and what a fantastic ball through by Ranocchia. You can see the players fighting with everything they have for the shirt which has been a regular occurrence since Marco took over. He is putting the pride back in the team and his organisation and tactics have been spot on. But more importantly he has the players buying into his philosophies. I can see this as a season to go down in folklore history, get on the bus people, we are a team on a mission.
It is all well and good but have you seen the stats for possession, shots and corners? These sort of figures where we defend and win with breakaways are no good for City fans who often say there is little atmosphere because they have to be entertained before designing to exercise their vocal chords. Silva will have to sort it out if he wants a rocking atmosphere.
In the league since Marco took over, that's played 4, 5 goals scored and only 3 goals conceded; not bad as well when you think that run has involved Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool. The team look transformed and Marco should take lots of credit.
