Given that we are now the worst performing team in the EPL - that's a given and without a decent defence l am struggling to see where the wins are going to come from. We might win the League Cup season but its not worth anything if we cannot start to win some games soon and stay in the EPL.
Nothing to do with luck. Pure ****. I was more than on team Puel going into the transfer window. But not getting any type of defender was either crazy naivety or a dumb business. Neither one is good.
Me neither I'm afraid. You can write off one or two results that way, but this current run is something else. Where are the team that played two legs of a semi final recently?
I agree with this , but to sack Puel will make no difference IMHO ( and would be unfair on him , I am, no fan , he would be a scapegoat ) The BOARD are to blame this time round .
Feel sorry for Puel, but he has to be banging on the door saying we need a CB. Back luck I can take, bad preparation pisses me off.
Yes. Those defending the board saying a panic buy would have been no good are deluded. In a crisis the only action you cannot take is no action at all. The ship is sinking. The least we should do is grab a cup and start bailing.
Totally agree re the Board, but we seem to try to playing each game like a cup game (currently like the Arsenal game!) Which seems not the best approach.
Is it true they said that they looked for a defender but found no one? Like not a single defender in the world?
It already screams bad preparation to me when even the signings we did get weren't done till the last two ****ing days of the window. Good preparation would be knowing what you want and getting it in the first week.
At the moment 33 would be enough. If Hull maintain exactly the same points per games then 33 will see us safe. Of course this doesn't leave any room for them improving (or another of the bottom 3)
If everyone earns points at the same rate 32 is enough. 9 points (36 - 2W 3D) will 90% do it. We will get plenty more than that.
Di Laurentiis was why Gabbiadini took so long. I don't believe real life is as simple as some of you are trying to make out.
