Anybody else think this pun is starting to become a bit overused? It's almost in every article about us I read these days. Ricky Gervais had it spot on, "I think pun should be short for 'punch him in the mouth'.
Apt that you use him as an example! He called us to **** on twitter a few weeks ago! He's a W.Anchor.
Hull's teeth, that's a hull of a question. Bloody hull, anyone sez that pun to me is going to get told to go to Hull. Or Halifax. Lord deliver us from shabby sub-editing.
Hello ? Are we in 2006? It's been a tired and overused title since we got back in the Championship and the likes of DQPR held their noses at the thought of a trip to 'the North East coast town'. Based in ignorance, not knowing prejudice (which is just as bad).
He didn't call us out, he made a joke. Which was, in my opinion, pretty funny. He's not to everybodies taste, but he isn't PC and he says things like they are. He also, like Stephen Fry, doesn't apologise if people take offence to his material. Which is how it should be.
you lot complain when no one notices us. they you complain when people use our name to make a pun.............. perhaps we should change the name............ but then history would be deleted. I see your dilemma.
