I think it's gonna be a better Quill.
The Atlanta offence is superb and if anyone can stop them it'll be Bellichek/ Patricia's defensive tactics.
    May the best team win.

The half time advert Budweiser are running is brilliant.

I haven't posted it, as it's a swipe at Trump, but it's worth a look on YouTube.

GTF dick head, we all knew he was talking about what time the game started. The lateness is due to the time difference between the UK and the USA something you should know all about.

No. I thought he was desperately looking for a live stream of some people cooking burgers and drinking Bud in the carpark
No way Patty can have known he wanted to watch the actual game. Just a misunderstanding <doh>

Got a very bad head, a bad lad's driving course at 12:30 and that made me laugh, thankfully.

I try to get into it every year. My interest lasts about 10 minutes.

I love NFL, have for years. Any moron who criticises it with all the typical arguments hasn't given it a fair shot. There are some annoying things like all sports but it's actually really gripping. And by a fair shot I don't mean changing channel for 5 mins and checking it out. You gotta check out the grassroots, there are some great documentaries about college football. Another tip, put some money on a game. It will totally change things. Watching a sport when you don't support anyone is ****e. I am not a huge fan of rugby, unless England or FC are playing.

I\'m not even going to discuss dumb comments about padding and poor man's rugby. If you spent two seconds on the field with those guys you would absolutely **** yourselves. These guys are beasts with or without paddings.

Honestly, any one a little open minded should give it a fair shot and watch a few games etc. At some point something clicks and you really get into it. Although I can also see some people with preconceived ideas and their habits who wouldn't be seen watching it.

ANyways, rooting for the Falcons, like majority of the US i think.

    Great post.
I've watched it for 40+ years and love it.
If you actually watch the 1 hour highlights of a game they're great on Sky Sports.
And the reason for all the helmets and padding comes from the fact that at least 8 players a season where dying as a result of none.
A much much higher impact sport than rugby

If anyone doesn't like all the breaks (SUperbowl has the annoying half time crap) just picture them as the equivalent of a meyler sideways pass.

haha no but in some ways it's true.

Watching a football game to others can be seen as this:

    - it's pass pass, run without ball, chasing, pass pass , oh and one shot off target.

-Wait for keeper to get the ball and hoof it...

-header, header, pass, into touch, wait for ballboy to give the ball back

-throw in, header, push in the back > foul

    - wait for referee to walk over, and player to take free kick.

    -cross in the box, cleared...

-pass at the back, pass sideways, ball down the line, player runs after it, goes out for a corner.

    - Cross

    -SHOT ON TARGET!!

    -saved.

I mean I'm exaggerating but there's an argument also that there are quite a lot of "unexciting" mins in football.

In NFL, sure there are annoying timeouts and commercial breaks but otherwise when you're playing, every "snap" (when ball is in play) has the potential to be exciting and explosive.

I kind of see every Snap in NFL as being the equivalent of a chance created in footy and there are way more in the NFL. Very different way of seeing things but showing the flip side of things with a slightly less biased view.

Also, 2-0 with 5 mins to play in football and you can head home.

2 touchdowns down with 5 mins to play in NFL and a ton of stuff can happen still .

So on the balance of things I would say Footy keeps your attention longer with long build up play and periods of pressure but NFL has the potential to be more exciting (than a cleared Elmo cross) in short bursts.

I don't like the it goes through the quarterback. If he has a bad game presumably that's it, unless the other quarterback has a bad game too.

Well I'll be surprised if the QB's in this game play badly. Matt Ryan is the MVP of the NFL, and Tom Brady is Tom Brady.

I used to despise NFL but I was short minded and never really watched it. I got into it by watching the series on Sky where players in Europe tried to get drafted in the NFL. I then saw how talented some of these fellas are.

I find the sport fascinating now.

Anyway I am supporting the Browns because they are one of the worst teams and I have no link to any of them really. I find the draft fascinating and the Browns where dumped in 95 that made me fonder of them.

To the Super Bowl, I want Atlanta to win because they have an abundance of attacking talent. I just have a feeling the Patriots will be too strong. Will Brady and Bill retire if they win?
