No , he should probably stay and play his part as a squad player....if he has the desire to be a first team regular he has to add other things to his game ( and probably his overall fitness ). Theres no getting away from the fact that in modern football athleticism and workrate are essential even for the most naturally talented footballer. I f he moved on he could go to a "smaller" team and continue his current game ,without adding the qualities as mentioned above , and remain at his current level.
No he is at a massive club and a fans fav on the cusb of the first team, it's a long season and he'll be needed.
The good thing is that he will have caught the eye of a few managers after that performance last night so we might see a couple of decent bids come in for him.
Yes, he has been overlooked by Trappatoni time after time. Ae regular run of club games and maybe he'll get the call
I would if he could prove he can maintain a good fitness level and chip in a bit more defensively. Oh and a haircut.
Well if he was fantastic last night despite not being a regular starter for Celtic maybe it is to NI's benefit that he stays at Celtic and stays fit? I know that Rangers players like to throw a hissy fit when they don't get selected for the national team (Scotland) but as far as i'm aware Paddy does not have the huge ****ing ego that Boyd and McCulloch seem to have. He's not complained about Celtic harming his international career has he?
Pedro it is really, really nice of you been nice to someone whom your friends used to refer to as a gypsy tar laying Irish layabout. What a turn around 2 goals against the Faroe Isles, pity he hadn't started the away leg, and if he had The North may not have been humiliated. Maybe we should listen to what Paddy McCourt said himself within the last fortnight. Paddy said he had 33 outings for Celtic last season and if he gets something similar this season he will be happy. I am sure is delighted with the fans celebrating his goals last night as surely he won't be targeted with bullets this season and his form won't be affected by side issues like that.
The next logical step after playing for the regional representative side is to try and get a call up for the full international side
