By coincidence, I've just this second found a fiver down the side of the couch when I was looking for a pill I dropped. Keep my money in my left pocket, & this was down the right side, so someone's been sitting in MY chair - and lost a fiver which is now mine! :D Just a pity that a fiver is worth bugger all these days. :(

Rev, I've enjoyed catching up with your posts tonight. Made me LOL.

Now, as for this Pontus situation, has anyone considered things like:

    * his wages might be subsidised by Torino during the loan? So let's say we only pay him £5k pw atm, & Torino pay him £10k pw. That means that if we sign him now, we pay out an extra £250k or whatever.
    * that his wages are paid to him by Torino out of the loan fee (and none of us know what that loan fee is).
    * that it suited Torino to wait until the end of the year & they refused to play ball (perhaps the last thing they need is another £3.5m in revenue atm for tax purposes, for instance).

Now I'm not saying that it's any of the above. It could be, but I have no idea - exactly the same as everyone else on here. So why have conspiracy theories when you have no evidence to contradict the club? Beats me.

Then again, he's certainly signing something here ....

Proud to say that I'm a Leeds-player. Thanks for all response, really means all to me.
And now all focus on the pitch! See you on Sunday!

<whistle>Interestingly, according to his yep interview, it was Cellino who signed Jansson and also tried to sign him when he was Cagliari owner. I thought he knew nothing about football

I remember LeedsLover saying he was a "Cellino" find and I think it was Billy (correct me if wrong) saying he was Clotet/Monk discovery so I wasn't sure...

Now that is an interesting development because if this is true, Monk is not getting a 100% say in who we sign. I still have a sneaky feeling Monk and Clotet would not have known about a Pedrazza

It seems our signings are a combined effort, I still think back to just before we signed Ayling when the director of football said "Gary Monk" has challenged us to do better.

Whoever is picking the players it seems to be working this season so far.

Mighty knows its true but prefers its not and Glory will now be a Pontus hater as Cellino discovered him and signed him

I am not a pontus hater although like others say he needs to buckle down and stop playing the crowd, i think the contract signed was in effect kicking the can down the road. We have first refusal but if we dont go up pontus will have the option to move on... Time will tell.

Pontus may be the vinnie type cult hero but as previously stated I think Ayling has been the find of the season so far.

Stop playing the crowd ? if he didn't liven the crowd up against Forest I'm not sure we would have won that one and there's been lots more,he feeds off the crowd and the crowd feed off him,if we had 10 more like that we would beat everyone.<doh>

Disagree about forest. We ran the legs off them after a poor first half and the crowd were up for it without a prompt.
Its a team game and I am not sure the solo lap of honour he does at every game end is a good thing. Not knocking what he brings to the team in terms of ability or work ethic although he might not be quite as good as he thinks he is. Sometimes its more about right place at the right time... Lets hope so,

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. But if he really is still doing the scouting sooner or later monk will go.

The crowd were very quiet early on against Forest ,only when he urged us to raise the roof did we liven up and so did the team from then on.

Disagree. If you were there your memory is playing tricks.
The crowd started fairly well but dozed off with the lack of action. Second half after a close shave we started playing, crowd livened up and only then did pontus start the arm waving.
