Having seen us play now, and having seen a few clips of Marco on the training ground, whereby he seems to take a lot of time with Tom Huddlestone, he obviously saw what a talent Tom is, and he has taken him aside and said I am going to build my team around you. I think you see that now in his performances, he is takingt charge of games now.

Even if it does go tits up tomorrow, what you have said about Marco is true. We are all allowed a mistake or two and I think we all learned something from the Fulham game but we have bounced back from that.

I was talking to someone today and he said he saw a program about foreign coaching and some are using body language during the game so all the players know what they are thinking, such as arms folded across chest to show the games not going well, or arms behind back meaning he's not happy.

Let's hope Marco's arms stay firmly behind his back tomorrow.

I did smile when I heard Escab say, that as soon as he arrived, the food availability changed and desserts were taken off the menu...

Sounds a lot like Pochettino. Hopefully the rest is as good.

Paul Merson and others have been critical of Silva's appointment over a English manager, but look at the choice of candidates apart from Dyche and Howe and the lower league men, the rest are old school thinkers, the likes of Steve Bruce are yesterdays men.

Foreign coaches have dominated our league for years and I can't see a Englishman winning the Prem for a long time yet.

I can't remember being this excited about a new manager.

Yes, it's early days, but all the same.

Like others I'm already worrying about what offers will come his way come the end of the season.

the bruces, alladryces, pardews etc are just so tactically inept compared to the foreign managers but it's not just that
it's the whole ethos of the club from diet to training

same reason as why the british teams are so **** at international football
we are light years behind the foreign teams and coaching etc

if marco was our manager from the start of the season.. we would be on more than 30 points now.. i guarantee it

the british are just dinosaurs to professional football

Last time I can remember doing things easy was staying up in 13/14. We were never really in the relegation fight that season.

silva will end up at a champions league team who is capable of winning it.. and he will win it

whether silva keeps us up.. it's a ridiculously tough challenge and i don't think we will stay up..
if we do then silva will go as the greatest manger of the 2000s.
if silva was here from the summer we would finish on over 40 points.. phelan is a joke.. an english dinosaur

We weren't close but it took us ages to get the points to guarantee safety, as soon as we reached the Final, we went into reversal & lost some easy games, eventually beating Swansea.

True but that season never felt super risky, even the draw at Fulham seemed enough.

The manager has been brilliant with me and I’m glad I’m staying here to work with him.

“It was great for me that he came out and showed his belief in me by telling Burnley I wasn’t for sale.
