a direct quote I promise http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-13109382-detail/story.html? Even though he's only been here five seconds I reckon he'd be our ideal captain ahead of Hobbs. I'd like to say I'm looking forward to saturday and the big turnaround, but I can't say I can see that coming. Maybe if Simmo and Matty can find their shooting boots then we can get going. UTT
I fully expected Mckenna to come in and be made captain with all his experience etc. Having seen him play i reckon the reason NP hasnt made him captain is because he isnt as good as NP thought. Dont agree with all this Hobbs is his pet. He gave it to someone who is gonna be a regular starter. Cairney and Evans in the CM for me.
Agree with the first comment about the strikers finding their shooting boots, we wouldn't be talking about Mckenna and Hobbs if this was the case.
I'm just as concerned about our defence to be honest. Hate to be negative but I get the feeling Ipswich will hand us a battering on Satdee. :-(
Not convinced on that one, they are probably worse than Blackpool and we should have beaten them. Saying that it's all probably and might be's this time of the year.
Even in the defeat on Tuesday, to my mind McKenna showed some of the attributes required to be captain. He's tenacious and up for a battle as far as I can see. OK, I know he's still settling in, but I would like to see McKenna given a chance to develop into the role. I think he'd lead by example. It still leaves a problem of how do you find space for, or choose between Cairney and Evans. It would be Evans for me.
Mckenna worked his socks off and did what he does best. Just the rest that failed to raise a sweat. Danny East apart.
I would agree fully with this except that in the first half I was sat close to where Pusic was operating. He looked up for it, showed some nice skills but looked increasingly frustrated as the half wore on. I'd like to see him with the full strength side and a little more ball at his feet.
Well that's easy. You pick Cairney. I agree with the McKenna should be captain point though. He looks to be in the same mould as Ashbee, only without the size, ability or wonder goals. I'd have him as captain ahead of Hobbs though.
McKenna's been poor so far. Like a slightly better Harper in my opinion, though I have more faith in him improving than I do in Hapless. Ipswich will beat us 4-0.
No chance, Blackpool are better than them and we should have won that match. Don't go by the League Cup game which was meaningless. We might lose Saturday but won't get hammered.
C'mon Erik keep your chin up! Saturday will be tough but i see no reason why we can't get anything from there or Leeds. It may only take one goal to gte us going. I hope you're wrong on that prediction, will be a dreadful weekend if so!
I can see McKenna being one of those players who the fans don't like but NP plays him every week and he does well, with only a select few fans being able to see what he does for the team.
The Tractor Boys seem even more nervous that we are...... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/75001-Nervous-About-Tomorrow
Surprised they're not confident off the back of last week's win. Mind you, they lost 10 games at home last season, even more than us. Chopra is guaranteed a goal though
