Good interview. Good work getting Silva in. Good work letting him influence everything from signings to coaching. Good work supporting him. Best get a bucket ready for the inevitable spittle pouring from the foaming gashes of the usual suspects who seem to think owning a club and spending money is the same as playing FM or FIFA and who are solidly entrenched in their views, which include whining about the owners being solidly entrenched in their views. Game on bitches.
Very interesting watch indeed.... Marco said jump 'I said how high'... did I hear that in there somewhere..?
Skip the first 18 mins of usual football speak you'd get from any chairman. Last few seconds as Chaz hmmms at are interesting. Wonder if boy wonder is starting the healing process. Won't be holding my breath like.
Most sensible thing I have ever heard from an Allam. We (the family) stay away because we don't want the distraction. Silva and the team need the support of the fans. Other than that he's still a ****.
Does he call us "Hull City" in the interview? I think Ehab's voice should be spoken by an actor, like Gerry Adams et al in the 80s/90s.
I expect a few people to launch abuse at me after this comment. I think Ehab in this interview came across very very well, it was an interesting watch and I think it shows despite all that is going on they are doing all they can to back Marco Silva. I actually felt very sad watching this, watching it all I could think of was how the Allams were once heroes in Hull and loved by the fans and we were so grateful to them. However stubbornness and a lack of communication with the fans during the name change etc. Has led to a huge divide. It saddens me watching this interview and putting to the back of my mind all the stuff that has happened, I couldn't help but watch and think how well Ehab spoke and how many clubs from the outside who dont know about anything that has happened would watch this interview and think "I wish we had an owner like this." It's awful how bitter the relationship between the Allams and us City fans has become, it really is sad, because they could of continued to be heroes in this town but haven't because of them being stubborn and petty.
Its alright he sounds like me. Very frightening. He made similar points to me about the costs of promotion last season and how the Premier league money has to pay it. If you dig a bit deeper he explains why we need the bank loan. He confirms the wage bill is about £60 million. He hesitated when asked about the sale of Livermore and Snodgrass, but he didn't say anything which persuaded me that they weren't eased out the door to pay for our other signings. Other people may see that differently but hey ho. The loan fees for this window were £5 million plus wages on top. The sale of Snodgrass and Livermore was £16 million plus add ons. He didn't say whether that was all upfront or paid over the next couple of seasons. The elephant in the room was us and it was skated around in the last few minutes. He wants us to get behind the team but you can tell by his face that he's fully aware of the mood. I thought the interview was encouraging but it avoids the running sores in the club, namely the use of our name and the issue of concessions. He really needs to open a dialogue with us to see what is possible to change that position. This may well be a start, I hope so.
Clearly MS has had words as he talks positively about us and how important we are. Decent interview and good to see some communication. I have to say about tomorrow I'm actually now bored of the Allam out chants my tiping point was this week at Fulham & Salford it's boring.
I aren't watching that mendacious, vindictive, bungling ****. "I am 100% responsible for us being at the bottom because of my epic mishandling in the close season of Steve Bruce and then Mike Phelan which left the club with only half a squad, and therefore doomed to fail" Whaddaya mean wrong transfer window?!?!?
In a dark room it would be difficult to know who was who by the sound of your voice....like ****. You are far more middle class.
