Yes but he is on a season long loan,so to sign him now if WJ is right,we would have to pay him till the season end then pay him again on his new contract.which would mean an extra £500,000 if he's on £20,000 a week.

Pontus signed on loan because Leeds wanted him to prove his fitness before committing to a full time deal .. Torino agreed to 22 matches to trigger a £3.5m transfer fee .. the deal was that Leeds could make it a permanent move anytime after the clause was triggered, including at the end of the season .. no letter of intent here, just a hard and fast contract now signed by Pontus, Leeds and Torino that says Leeds pay £3.5m in June and that's that .. I really don't understand why people keep looking for trouble with this deal when there isn't anything there .. Pontus is a Leeds player until June 2020 .. can we just accept it, and also accept that the club is on the up and we're looking really strong this season .. come on people, get a grip
