    I know I might not get genuine answers as it's mid transfer, but what reception do you think Enrique will get compared to Carroll?

    Don't begrudge him the move one bit. Liverpool have a much better squad than us and much more ambition. Fair play to him, hope he does well.

    6million is an absolute ****ing joke though.

    You're meant to support your team through the good and bad, even if that includes losing key players and relegation threatened. If you do that because we lose Colo, you are a massive helmet.

    why are we in a rush to sell him 2 days before season kicks off, with no replacement in ???
    get his replacement signed up, then let him go and make bin dippers wait, instead of dropping ourselves in it <doh>

    sideways step? No ambition?

    Newcastle are floundering and there is a very good chance we will be in a relegation battle, at most next season we may ben shooting for europa.

    Liverpool have invested millions, tehir form was fantastic towards the end of last season and I would be surprised if they are not in/very bloody close to a champions league spot. They are about 5 years ahead ofus right now.

    Woudl like him to have stayed, would like to have got more dosh but if i was him I would probably go all things considered. Dream move.

    6 Million for a player we only played 6.3 million for and he only has a year left, I think is doing alright out of it.

    Would could have hung on for more, he didn't move then get stuck with a player with a face like a slapped arse for a season to then leave for nowt!!

    Can understand he wants to do better, but find it ****e that he's going to Liverfool but we knew it was coming

    Hmmm, I'm not sure, does it count as a team matter? Surely it's partly a personal matter too, since it's his friend and colleague moving away from him. It's also already well publisized, so it's hardly like he's breaking any shocking news, just confirming what we already know.

    this has come out the blue so i am getting very unsettled by this totally surprising news... i like a lot of fans though he was going to finish his career with us after all the positives he has spoken about over the summer.
