The fourth official wasn't even bothered, and he was the one on the receiving end of the "abuse".

Why are you? The 4th official didn't find his comments offensive or threatening and that should be the end of that.

Also maybe Mourinho would be receiving similar goodwill from match officials if he hadn't talked about Anders Frisk going to meet Rijkaard at HT with no proof whatsoever and caused him to receive loads of death threats and have to retire early from refereeing football games. I suggest that match officials might be wary around him after that particular performance.

Rightly so, someone who has the power to affect you personally, and has used it in the past, needs to be watched very carefully.

I ain't that bothered just offered an opinion that just because this 4th official wasn't bothered when JK was ranting at him doesn't mean next weeks won't be.

as for your second point i have already said i think he has been treated leniently over the years but so has Wenger .

anyway my bed beckons & hopefully the codeine will let me sleep tonight

I got bored so started watching Arsenal fan tv clips <laugh>
This guy... not exaggerating to say I've got half way through and he must have said "blud" and "fam" at least 40 times each! Surely no one actually speaks like that do they?!

Every single video of him is exactly the same. I almost feel as if the people on ArsenalFanTV are trying to create a persona so they can come back every week and talk rubbish.

We've finished in the top 6 twice in the same period for a start off, but that's irrelevant you said it was set, it isn't and your own club proves the point

Point is, the top 6 is generally the current top 6. With 1 slipping out every other year or so on the whole.

It's generally agreed that the top 6 are ahead of the rest in terms and I don't think it's wrong to say that someone constantly breaking into that top 6 or one of the current top 6 dropping out for a prolonged period is less likely than someone being able to go from 14th to 8th in the league.

I haven't looked but I'd imagine in the last 5 years there's been far more movement from 7th to 14th than top 6.

Only you've only been part of that supposed top six in less than half of the last 7 years, so it's not a top 6 at all in anything other than the present

The Sky era tries to create a false narrative that even you've seemingly swallowed.

Leicester went from relegation candidates to Champions and Soton were also tipped for the drop before finishing 6th 2 seasons later. The idea that it's some form of closed shop is ridiculous and factually bollocks

Its not the getting in there to start with that's the hard part, its staying there over numerous seasons.

Leicester lost Kante, West Ham lost Payet & Southampton have lost numerous stars (+ a manager) because of their form. They do not have the money to keep their stars in the face of interest from Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs etc. so end up having to lose their players and having to start from scratch the next season.

I agree, but the idea that it's a static big 6 who are occasionally turfed out is a false one.

The 2015 champions finished mid table last season, as did you lot, as did United.

Tobes likes to ignore the horrendous damage done by g&h that for past 5 years has had to be recovered from

    Kyrgiakos, Poulsen... Konchesky

The fact is lfc has had to re-establish its credentials as a top 6 club and i would say its not even certain we have yet.

Everton have always been upper midtable and stable under moyes and kenwright but to break out of that will not be easy as thought... and the evidence... again spurs. Its taken them a lonnnnngggg time to get where they are and they won nothing yet

Right yet the examples you give just back the view though... chelsea right back in. Utd back in at least top 6...

As i said lfc are still recovering status after near administration

    Saido Berahino failed drug test.
Saido Berahino 'banned for failing drug test while at West Brom' - according to reports
    2 February 2017 • 11:54pm
The Stoke City striker Saido Berahino failed a drugs test in September and served a secret Football Association ban for part of which he trained alone at a fitness camp in France, it has been reported.
The former England Under-21 international, who joined Stoke for £12 million from West Bromwich Albion last month, played his last game for his former club against Bournemouth on Sept 10, 2016.
A ban would also have rendered him ineligible to play for the club’s Under-23 side, the Daily Mail reported, and Berahino did not play for the junior team from Sept 20 until Dec 12.
The 23-year-old is reported to have tested positive for a recreational substance, and was therefore not subject to the World Anti-Doping Agency sanctions to which the FA is a signatory. However, the FA also has its own regulations in place which cover social drug abuse and can ban players who test positive for up to six months.

The governing body does not disclose the details of bans for recreational drug offences and instead prefers that players seek treatment and, if necessary, rehabilitation. The FA believes that the secrecy helps the player to seek an effective recovery programme, although it has come under pressure to name those who fail tests for recreational drugs.
Neither West Brom nor the FA were available to comment on Thursday night. The Mail reported that Stoke were aware of Berahino’s ban, which has now been served in full, before they bought the player last month. He tested positive in an out-of-competition test. The striker has since made his debut for his new club.

As lucas said, getting into top 6 fine, but maintaining it is harder for anyone other than the current top 6 due to resources and the bigger clubs being able to prise away their star players.

If you guys got top 6 how long before you think lukaku is snapped up by someone else? Then you're back to square one
