I wouldn't dream of trying to persuade anyone how to spend their time and money. But ITTV spends it's entire life obsessing about a few well known Charlton fans, and I don't intend to join in that particular waste of time, especially since I don't know any of them personally. What I like about this forum is that we can agree to disagree, can we not? And my opinion is that this exercise could help give Roland a nudge towards the door, which is what we all want.

    Elf -

We can organise a trip, but what is the point? The cynical Everitt is now dropping veiled hints that buyers are lurking and Duchatelet needs a push. What utter manipulative Bollox. Everitt has been playing these games for over 25 years. Who is left at the Club who is supposed to be feeding him this info. All of his fellow Klingons have been expunged. Olly Groome??
The sad thing is that decent fans will waste money following this False Prophet.

Not about individuals, this trip is about the football club.

What do you think can be achieved ?

I take it you think big numbers will persuade Duchatelet to sell up?

    That is not my point.

20, 200 or 2000, I am not talking about numbers.

It is all about the criticism and people doing bugger all about it themselves.

    That is it, period.

As an aside, my take on the whole situation is the best thing is to not attend the games in numbers, like Blackpool.

If you don't think anything can be achieved by this protest, why do you think the Car Park protests could achieve anything?

A different sort of fan was at the car park protests. Plus you could visibly see that the pressure was getting to Meire - her grinning and taking photos at the window, then the barriers and extra police each week. Everitt and CARD ruined it, but I do believe Meire at least would be gone now had we kept the car park protests in front of other clubs Directors going.

We never really know what she tells Roland. I'm almost certain that it's Roland who has given the order for her to be accompanied by her goons in the presence of any Charlton fans, which is ridiculous, and must be based on some rubbish she's told him. He's also told the Belgian press that it's only "20 core actors" who are unhappy with the way he runs the club, which a good turnout would give the lie to this crap. I don't know whether or not he actually believes it, but it seems like he does value his reputation at home, and it's him, not the CEO who makes the decisions. She always seemed to revel in the victim role, so whether or not she'd be forced out by the car park demo's is debatable, and anyway it's also debatable whether the fans had the appetite for constant protests like this, the numbers were going down. Roland is the one who has to be targetted, he's the boss, and so I'm keeping this weekend free.

Would be good if at least one member of this forum went over to Belgium, if only for the feedback and the comedy value. Are you going over with the official group that is helping with cost ? Prague Addick (Richard C-unt) is organising the Eurostar <laugh>

Agreed - I'll be going under my own steam though. He's not listening to the protests at The Valley, but has always seemed disturbed by the protests in his home town.

Just picture the scene outside St Truiden's stadium - Fanny Fanackapan burns her bra in protest, with @baraettmattesvensson lurking in the background hoping to collect the charred remnants.

Look at how empty the North Upper is this season - where do you think those fans have gone ?

Rubbish.................to your final line if the protests had been sustained in the car park.

Besides, something could have been organised on this forum, why not?

Also, if ITTV are going to see squirrel face I would have thought a meeting(for what it is worth) could have been sorted by this forum. If only to tell big bum what people really thought of her.

Not sure of the angle for coming at the forum - as I said last night, some have accepted the news of the protest, others haven't.

There hasn't been anything officially communicated from any of the mods that has suggested we are distancing ourselves from it. Members have. The same members who also take to various other forms of social media to express the same feelings.

No member on here has expressed interest in meeting the board. Hope that clears that part up <ok>
