I think its easy get 6th.

5th will mean battling utd not city :) utd are about to go through feb and could **** it all up. they have the luck of their two games i nleague being on at outset so need two wins v bottom half tables but its Leicester and watford

4th is a battle with city/arsneal. not sure which yet.

I would be surprised if LFc don't get back to some form of the easrly season for with 15 games to go and nothing to do but rest and play and everyone is fit... ish. as such i could see us going aehad of arsenal and even city.

Spurs i think will probably roll on.

It's a tough one to call tbh. United blew what should have been a routine 3 points last night to put them right on your tail. (hence the reason Mourinho was so ****ed off)

City were immense last night, if they carry on at that level, then they could easily put a run of wins together, that front 3 really clicked.

Chelsea are home and hosed for a top 4 place.

Barring a #bottlejob so are Spurs imo

It'll be close right to the death.

Leicester had something to play for.

the funny thing is that glass ceiling is back with a bang!

City were awful last year and barely tried a leg. Cheslea were the same, worse even to get mourinho out. utd were awful cos they failed to even get 4th... lfc were focused on cup and klopp threw any chance of 6th away.

Spurs have been consistently about that 70 points for a while. Arsenal were arsenal.. as per but neither were capable of a title push.

Leicester deservedly took the title as the scrapped for everything in every game whereas the others didn't

most of the time, in fact ONLY Leicester in the prem era really have been bale to break that glass ceiling. City took 4 years of mega bucks spending to get to 4th! Chelsea took a while... top 6 is one thing. leiester bypassed that and ended up going top 4 and then top all in one go and now look like being relegated.

in short Liecester are the exception not the norm and nothing to prove a rule

If everton were talking about being the next spurs fine ok... theres the model. they bought well, built well and are building their stadium. Its been YEARS of growth and i think this is what jenners is saying.

Tobes... well maybe you can improve enough but you need to start with CB and the minute you get europe i see you struggling again. You need that time to builded up... why? cos we do too!

I think any reasonable red would admit to you that if LFC DO get 4th we are in for an awful struggle cos we simply don't look like we are strong enough to cope at all.

    So.... ok..

lets hope we can build again. Its far more likely that the top 5 would be the top 5 and LFc end up wondering why next year and everton would be challenging them that LFC qualify and play in CL and get top 4 next year at this point cos the squad just is not there.

TBF you should easily close the gap to 6th just by Mourinho being allowed fewer offside goals

Yeah, Utd just have a lot of games coming unless they dump the europe fast they do have the squad for it but I think a lot of their game comes from carrick whos toast and defensively they are up and down. Utd should handily win league cup but could have a fixutre back log in march.

City were indeed good but i wonder about their opponents heart. THey did drop two players though which shows something. They have a great front 3.

Cheslea already have top 4 sen up yes. its 10 points over 15 games for city and other sides to get back and frankly it aint happening

Spurs i just think have the best keeper, good full backs, solid defense and tough CM and two guys up front who can score. As a package they would have to implode

Arsenal are arsenal.. they have quality but are flaky.

If i were betting i'd almost bet on last day coin toss between LFC and arsenal for 4th. it coudl run that long.

IF LFC could win 10 in a row great but our next 10 games are not it.

City are filling their squad with #bottlers so of course they had no problem after taking a big lead so early that's just like #doingalukaku

The bbc have got a Lampard v Gerrard vote article on the go.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38023336

    This part is extremely funny.

    How much were they worth?
Football finance expert Rob Wilson says if you took both players in their prime and sold them in last month's transfer window, Lampard would attract a marginally higher fee.

But neither would match the world-record £89m Manchester United spent to re-sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.

"I wouldn't put them on the same level as what we have seen with Pogba, simply because of the marketability of Pogba and his association with Adidas," said Wilson, from Sheffield Hallam University.

"Hindsight is a perfect science. We have seen the performances they were able to generate for their respective clubs, the consistency they were able to deliver and, particularly in the case of Lampard, the goals he scored as well.

"You would be comfortably talking £50m-£60m in transfer value - Lampard would be slightly more because of the number of goals he scored from midfield.

"If we were to have seen them sold this summer or next summer, you would be talking about wage packets of £250,000 a week."

Ffs Pogba ain't anywhere near either of them in their prime regardless of marketability.<laugh>

The key word here is indeed 'marketability'...................what about what he does on the pitch?

I don't remember Gerrard or Lampard having as **** a season as Pogba is having <laugh>

And what's Pogba gonna think when they play their Europa qualifier at the end of July <whistle>..........

Thats because Leicester had a freak year. The top 6 is normally well set. To get into and maintain is a tough ask. Who is the last team to continuity get into top 6? Spurs and Citt about 8 years ago!

Martial isn't a winger... but doesn't mean his best position isn't starting wide. Look at Henry, he hugged left touchline where more space to get the ball and run.

Problem is, Mourinho likes his attackers to do defending as well. He dropped hazard for not doing his defensive job properly. Ask martial tonne a winger, he won't. Ask him to be a wide forward m, use his pace to get in behind and he'll be a very good player!

id have him at Liverpool absolutely. Might have to do bit more off the ball pressing but real pace and trickery and can finish.

Read that earlier. Made me laugh. Pretty much saying Pogba is worth an extra £40m because of #pogba rather than the 2 others being 2 of best midfielders of their generation in terms of goal scoring in lampard and all round midfield in Gerrard.

European football starts again in 2 weeks. All the teams in the mix except Chelsea and all still in the FA cup....Utd even have a final to distract them.

Lots of twists and turns yet this season, although Chelsea have a clear run for the title and id be very surprised if the blew it now....below them, anything can happen.
