    I can't believe everyone is so surprised. And for anyone slagging off Liverpool, in terms of ambition, stability, pride, team morale and owners, they're head and shoulders above us at the moment.

    We all know deep down Coloccini will leave next summer anyway. High wages, getting on and coming to the end of his contract. Not that I'm that bothered if we replace him well

    Still a sideways step for me like, I can't see them breaking the top 5 I think it'll finish the same as it did last season. Bunch of scruffy bin dipping caaaants!

    As someone who can rarely get to games it must be brilliant to be able to have a season ticket, getting to loads of games and getting behind the lads no matter what...

    Really? I honestly can see them getting 5th. They finished 6th after a truly appalling start. Can you see the Spuds finishing better off than them this season?

    This. Even if the whole ****ing team was sold and we delved down into league one obscurity like Leeds did or something, I'd still kill and be highly appreciative to have a season ticket!

    The word on twitter is the jose deal is 99.9% done and will be completed once we bring Pieters in...

    If true, this would suggest the Pieters deal is close.

    Hopefully we'll get a left back in but once again the club has handled it badly. 2 days before the start of the season is crazy! Should have got the weekend game out of the way and then got everything sorted. Or better still as I've been saying all summer, we should have sold him at the beginning of July when we returned. We've done the exact opposite of what a top club does and we'll be relying on release clauses to stop us getting fleeced because clubs know we're desperate. I think the anger over the clubs transfer policy is clouding peoples judgement on Enrique. The kid has stuck with us for a long time and burnt enough of his career with a club stagnating. At the very best we're now progressing slowly but its way too slowly for him in terms of his career. I honestly do not know what people expect. He never said he wanted CL football next season from what I remember, Pardew might of? To be honest I can't remember Enrique saying much about the transfer at all. His twitter outburst seemed to focus on lies, lack of incomings and departures.

    Agreed. When people like Tash spout out crap about selling his season ticket over a player being sold it really annoys me. He doesn't even realise how lucky he is to get to so many games when some of us don't have that luxury.
