My laptop is about 2 years old. I am currently trying to install revit 2011 architecture. It has over heated and shut down twice already and not even at 50% progress. It's been over heating a lot recently but this is taking the piss. Any solutions?

 

CPU fan could have failed?

I had this problem too, so tried deleting files etc to get my memory down.

Then I spoke with someone who said "It will be dust".

So I took off some panels and vacuumed where I could, and you should have seen the amount of dust/fluff that had gatthered there over the years.

It might just be a build up of dust inside your computer causing it to overheat. Before trying any expensive repairs, you should buy a can of dust remover and clear it out.

 

is it spunk encrusted ?

 

the screen is

 

maybe the laptop is working fine , but you just cant see that through the layers of wallpaper paste ?
