According to Transfermarkt it's a "malleolar injury", i.e. one of the bones in the ankle. Doesn't say whether it's a fracture or not though: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-southampton/sperrenundverletzungen/verein/180
Yoshida and Stephens up against Ibrahimovic, that is worrying. Not to mention we are an injury away from Gardos playing in the league cup final. Happy happy happy!
Exactly. I'm not doubting his ability as I actually have very little idea of how good he is. We have seen so little of him that nobody really knows, it's just 2 years out is going to really take its toll. We've seen that first hand with Jay Rod.
for a board that has a proven track record of running our club so well, this situation is both utterly perplexing and unacceptable at the same time. Fuming.
Ryan has worked in a back three, so that is more logical that anymore kid promotions, but this is getting rather silly. They would have known a week ago that VvD's injury had the potential to keep him out for a long period of time, why not ease the pressure on the squad, the manager, and us lot as well & do something about it! The cup run we have all been waiting for, and this happens. FFS
Puel happy with Maya and Stephens...no problem with that, but am concerned if one should get injured or just damn tired. Gardos looked ok before his long lay off, so lets hope he keeps fit. Of course Puel cannot be happy without another back up, but he is hardly going to say so....what would that do for player confidence. He's making the best of it....which is what fans need to do. Les tried to get a player in, but deals fell through and time ran out....you can't always get what you want....another lesson for fans. The real villain here plays for Leicester.
