I watched the Wales game lastnight and thought we were ffffing awful which really is'nt a surprise but i thought when Joe Allen came on his passing and movement started to cause the Aussies problems,Wales could have a very good midfield in the near future but at the back and up front we'll still have the same woes that we've had for many years.

I didn't watch the game , but from the thread it seems we had major defensive issues. If this was indeead the case and williams and Talyor played the full game , is this something the swans need to be worried about - namely shaky defence in the premiership!!

its not all speeds fault even though he would not be my choice for manager the players must take a lot of the blame, we had a good side out last night but they showed no passion whatsoever, the roos are not one of the best sides out there and at home we should be beating these sides, these Rankin's are a joke if they put the roos in the top 20. ....6,000 in attendance tells the story that if wales dont start playing with passion then the attendance will drop even further. it is everyone's fault from top to bottom and not just speeds fault.

He's in charge dai it's up to him to motivate players and get the best out of them, that lies with the manager and his backroom staff around him.

We were quick to blame Sousa in his season with us, he sapped out our players and didn't allow them to play, we gained promotion with largely the same players!

The FAW appointed him, they are idiots and look after their own interests first, we have Flynn doing the u21 team and motivating them and playing with passion, he should have been given more time to see if he could do something with the national side.

Sorry for repeating this, but speed is out of his depth, he is not up to the required level to take us forward, I am amazed that he was even considered for the Wales job when there was better qualified people interested in it!

We are a small nation, and I expect the same as other small nations, we have nothing going for us at the moment, no passion, no pride, no wins and an useless manager with no clue or tactics to go forward, just blame his shortcoming on the players!

And words can't describe what I think of the FAW , we both left them at the earliest possibility so we know what the clubs think of them!

As for bollocks mate, that was on display last night for all it's glory in front of 6k fans, shocking! Bury your head in the sand if you wish I won't !

Can someone who was either there or watched on the Telly let me know how Williams and Taylor did , especially as many of you have given the impression we were poor defensively?

You are mistaken aber , I have been a season ticket holder since we have been in the liberty, before that I was working in a job that had me working almost every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and I would often do an extra shift on the Saturday night.

So a season ticket was not viable, but I did go to a lot of games when I could, and before I came back to Wales to live I spent 1992-2000 out of the UK completely, and came back once in a while, and managed to watch games occasionally.

I have been supporting the swans from a little kid, all the way though the tossack era and beyond, so don't call me a glory boy whatever that means, because I have probably pumped into the club a small fortune over the years, from the oxtail soup and pasty at the vetch, to the platinum bar and box at the liberty!

As for the 6k fans, no I wasn't one of them, but I would put money on it that you weren't there either

Only a right knob would have expected us to win against a team rightly among the top 16 in the world.

Hacker with respects we were inept , the tactics beyond belief , and the manager has not the nous to kick us on, if we lost night after a passion filled game fair enough, but I have seen speeds interview where he basically blamed everyone but himself, at least that is the same from tossack !

You honestly speak crap aber, I didn't come back on holidays to watch the swans, after working 4 to 5 months in a row I came back from eastern europe to recover, I and my wife could only stay here for certain amount of time for tax reasons (90 days a year) if the swans were playing I would go and watch them if I could! I had other things to do though aber and football was low on my priority list!

Not that I need to justify myself to you, but most of the games I watched down the vetch was preceded by drinks in the builders and Robin hood , there was always 7 or 8 of us going at that time, amazingly even now there are 6 of us going and we sit next to each other and have been going to games on and off for about 20 years!

And I will never pay to watch a Wales game not because we are pants, because basically I don't want too, my last game was against Finland where we lost and I met up with some finnish friends who I worked with eastern europe.

And aber I take your words as kosher , don't basically call me a liar as you are coming across as an idiot!

You are quite right,Jager, you don't need to justify yourself to the "knobhead",(a phrase he often uses to denigrate others),from Aberdare.
He has a big mouth, and is very prone to shooting it off,and then having to apologise for being such a monumental "knobhead".

wales were crap, total lack of passion ,but really who could blame them ! 3 days before the start of the prem season ffs!! speed IMO is a useless choice ,we all saw the job he did at sheff utd , a team with a far bigger playing budget than the swans .

who watched what back in the 70 s ,80 s ,90 s etc well, who cares !! looking at the past is totally irrelevent isnt it? 6000 people watched the game but looking at it id say 1500 of them were aussies !! so we are down to about 4,500 LOL! who wants to pay good money to watch crap football ??

swansea and cardiff were getting 2000 not long ago , the amount of times ive heard people talk about those dark days of the past and how they were "hard core" doesnt quite add up either, ive heard from so many people who were there then that there should have been at least 10,000 at each ground !!

point is i guess that crap football = crap attendence !

especially in times of financial difficulty .

aber ,tut tut.. too much THC content in your latest batch me thinks !! im guessing its real mind bending stuff lately !

Oh I don't doubt it. But I don't see a manager out there who could really turn what we have currently into a team that stands a chance of qualifying for anything. You could team up Fergie and Mourinho but our players would still not be good enough. We have one single top class player in Bale, another who will probably be in a year or two in Ramsey and a couple who at their very best could put in a great performance or two (Bellamy). The rest are at best lower half premier league squad players and nothing is going to change that in a hurry.
