Jay Miller's Marine dad Ronald Hastings never forgot the Belfast man's selfless bravery in the heat of battle in Burma during the Second World War. Now Jay, 56, is to make a formal statement backing Medro's application to move from NI to Britain. If there's anything we can do to help him, we will. "I can still remember the emotion in dad's voice when he told me about him. "He always said if it wasn't for Medro most of the men wouldn't have survived."
