Well done, Holloway's boys. We're getting more resilient at the back, and made some great chances, particularly in the first half. Now we have to convert them.
Cheers for that link Kilburn. I snuck the last 30 mins, whilst I should have been working. Great result. I'm out of touch, but this looks to me like the kind of team we generally all were happy to watch evolve for a season or 2.
That was yet another great cross in by Lua Lua to create the og - that type of play was definitely his forte in this match.
Good result for us ... and about time. Would have preferred the 3 points against Burton over tonight though. Great to see Conor score again, need that confidence to build for the lad. Better get Smithies contract sorted now.
Thought we thoroughly deserved that. Created plenty of chances away from home, worked hard, and it's a morale boosting result. Smithies, Bidwell and Washington all outstanding, amongst some good performances from others. Fair play to all the fans who made the trip up, so glad we took something away for them.
So did they in not having Shelvey sent off for the kick out at Mackie, which 69 secs later they scored from. If Shelvey had gone the whole team dynamic would have changed. Anyway very glad with our performance and so glad we got a deserved 2-2 draw out of this match, that I really didn't expect - only match I didn't list in the prediction league as an R's win - my attempt at reverse psychology, which sort of worked I guess.
It also goes to show what you can achieve on little money as long as you assemble the right type of players. Will be interesting to see what Holloway can get done in a proper transfer window in the summer. That is when we will spend, not in January when the prices are over the top and selection of players are poor. I really like the way we look on the road, now go and fix the home tactics Holloway.
I'm not trying to start an argument but have any Ollie haters/doubters changed their opinions yet? We've got our Rangers back, that was a performance to be proud of.
I consider myself a doubter rather than a hater. Decent enough point tonight so delighted with that. Having lost at home to the mighty Burton Albion only 4 days ago, from my perspective, the jury is still very much out.
We really have to step up at home too and make the 12th man count. Great result tonight, I'm delighted for those that travelled up there, they have something positive to talk about on the journey home.
Was watching a bit behind time. **** start but really good first half. I am really impressed with Manning - he started up several good moves with classy long balls. Washington played like a proper centre forward too with a good all round game. He needs players like Pawel and Mackie close to him but he still did well. Second half was more about hanging on but we still weren't overrun. We also got some rare luck (Lua Lua deserves credit and had the biggest impact of any sub). A performance to be proud of and a good game to watch. It is getting better. Although we do still need to show it against teams that we have to take the game to rather than countering.
Strange question to ask considering we just lost to Burton! I'm a doubter and would love to be wrong about him. Great performance but the doubters will want to see more consistency
Gaz I wish people would stop using the term 'Haters', as I have seen no poster using that term. I don't believe that Hollow is the man to take us up. Just look at Saturday losing 2-1 at home to Burton. Good result tonight but then we will probably lose to bottom of the league next time. We are too inconsistent. I Still think Hollow is a bit of a clown but at the moment I cannot moan too much as we are playing better (over last 5 games).
Starting to think we've got a midfield conundrum. Luongo, Manning, Goss, Cousins, Freeman, Doughty and Morrison all central players. Suppose options are a good thing.
