    2 things. Why do you include the race in every insult? That's why you get pulled up on racism. And it is ambitious because they are a better side than us.

    He said he wanted to play in the champions league next season and to win things...

    I don't see Liverpool's CL spot nailed on next season at all, and in terms of cups, everyone has a chance of winning.

    I would of understood if he went to a CL club but Liverpool? They are not even in europe, are not guarenteed to get CL next season, what is the point in moving there now?

    Yes, I am disapointed by the fact he is going, but I would rather it be now, with time to bring a replacment (Eriek :emoticon-0115-inlov) then transfer deadline.

    Pretty much a sideways step in terms of this coming season but I suppose it will be clear come next May whether he's made a smart choice or not. Personally I hope not

    I know he said he wanted a CL team but no CL team wants him. Liverpool are a better side than us with more ambition, unfortunately.

    Liverpool will be Europa at best. Its all about the cash! Within 24 hours of moving he will be named in the spanish squad too me thinks...

    I don't blame the lad at all, and wish him good luck.

    Liverpool are a step up from us and should be challenging the top 4-6 this season. They are showing AMBITION and have spent a lot of cash, so no wonder he wants to go there.

    No real suprise. It was written on the wall. The dissapointing part was that SSN said that PSVs manager said Pieters is going nowhere- shizer!

    So we sign him as an unproven, young, raw left back with no experience of English football for 6 million, then sell him as an established, consistent and well experienced left back for 6 million. Well done Ashley. 10 quid on him being in the next Spain squad though

    Unfortunately, this...

    As much as we all want Liverpool to fail next season, I just can't see it happening. Their squad has too many decent players now. And I can see them getting Europe next season anyway. Maybe not CL, but I can definitely see them finishing 5th. Which is a lot more than we'll achieve.
