Wow you predicted we'd finish lower than last season. So what anywhere from 2nd to 20th and you'd be claiming to have called it. Nowhere did you mention relegation at the time as you'd have been in fear of being wrong so hedged your bets with the wording

 

You only posted that after you'd already predicted the spiral, right before they won the league.

You also went back and edited that comment to hedge your bets

Exactly. It's a coward's thread. HIAG would be claiming a 'spiral' even if you missed out on winning the league by a point.

That's right John. I've stuck my neck out since early season saying you'd be relegated, and I'm sticking with it.

I started the thread right back at the beginning of last season, when Maureen was still at Chelsea, right before his monumental meltdown that season which ultimately cost him his job.

HIAG thought he was being clever and tried to claim that I'd only started the thread because Chelsea had lost. I didn't and they hadn't, they drew and I started it because I knew Mourinho would provide a lot of funny hissy fits etc regardless of Chelsea's results.

I played HIAG for a bit, questioning how it could be that I'd started a thread based on Chelsea losing (knowing he'd ****ed it up), and predictably he started giving it the big un'. Finally the penny dropped that he'd ****ed up and he went back over the first two pages editing his comments to try and cover it up

TBH mate Id say more than in the battle. With teams around us making signings and picking up in form, I'd go as far as to say we're 80/90% down already :/

He got it so blatantly wrong and his refusal to hold his hands up is making it even more funny. Never seen anybody welch so much and so often in my life. You know you're sad bastard when you feel the need to lie on a football forum

The post I quoted (which was the second post on this thread, was made and edited the same day, namely 17 January 2016. I didn't/couldn't know that Leicester would actually win the title. But, with respect, that is beside the point. In my post, I make it quite clear that the spiral refers to this season, and I made that prediction during the middle of last season.

The Seggies can try as much as they like to cast aspersions on my superb foresight and courage in calling the LCFC spiral so early. Absolutely no one else did. Indeed, I was pilloried by many for speaking of a future spiral when LCFC seemed to be sweeping all before them.

Wriggle as much as you like, Seggies, but there is no getting away from the fact that I called it exactly how it has occurred.

I said that last season's rise would be met with a catastrophic fall this season; and I made that call during the middle of last season.
