Anyway, north hill Harvey wins the champion hurdle. Remember where you read it first.

I wouldn't worry, Buveur D'Air has just been switched to this race.

Fair play to Hendo for stating Buvy is being aimed at the Champion. For all his greatness, the GOAT could certainly be a bit more upfront with his running plans sooner but we know he's as indecisive as heck. Interesting dimension and we all know how good the Supreme form is. You'd say that cements Jezki for the Stayers now.

Suppose the main factor is they knew he'd **** all chance against Yorkhill in the JLT so don't blame them for running scared. JP already owns one Yorkhill victim, didn't want to fill the graveyard with them...;)

sure... nothing to do with the fact its the Champion Hurdle vs the JLT, the race for horses not good enough for the Arkle or RSA

Obviously Petit Mouchoir's antics have led them to believe they have a chance in the 2 miler given they beat him at Aintree. No harm trying anyway.

Buveur had to run in this with no Annie, Yorkhill (at least for now!), Altior and Min.

If he'd looked brill over fences then maybe not but he hasn't looked like he had the scope for them like it was hoped.

Certainly has an each way chance and if it came up anywhere near soft, a further enhanced one.

I don't know how anyone could consider Buveur D'Air for the race, he only beat that no-hoper Petit Mouchoir a neck ..................... <whistle>

6/1 he is now, having never run in open company in a hurdle race. Still, potential above proven Grade 1 form any day of the week eh? <laugh>

Record of chasers switching back to the Champion Hurdle is abysmal. I'd rather back Petit Mouchoir which says it all.

Best price 5/1 on Petit Mouchoir now - Paddy's 6/1 didn't last long
