To be fair, I think he's rejected Forest because he knows he'd be in a hiding to nothing. Fawaz is a basket case and now he's turned off the taps funds wise they are looking destined for lg1. Clough doesnt want that on his CV. Nor the sack when it inevitably happens. If someone pinched Hughton, he'd be in Brighton like a rat up a drain pipe. He'll be loyal like anybody right up to the good oportunity arrives. Bah!
Meanwhile, back on the rumour front, it's the final day and still no certainties. Dijks looks probable to replace Olsson, Canos to Brentford for £2.5m also looks probable once Hogan leaves, Wildshut has handed in a transfer request, Burnley are said to still be interested in Brady, but beyond that there's not much beyond vague rumours. Brady is still the principal domino - if he leaves, then we need another LB and WL option, though that is fairly well covered. Canos leaving would make a WR option more urgent behind Jacob and the injury prone Jarvis. Wildshut seems a logical choice, given that he can play WL, WR, or as a striker, but at the current £6m asking price, most of the Olsson and Canos money would be eaten up, but Brady staying would mean that we wouldn't need another LB. If Brady leaves, though, we will. There's also our current vulnerability in CM, though Mulumbu returning will ease that concern. It's a complicated, inter-connected puzzle which will take some working out during the next 13 hours. (Sorry, wrong thread - I'll copy this over to the rumour thread)
Just saw this morning - £33 for an adult ticket to watch Newcastle game on 14th Feb!!! #yourehavingalaugh. And I thought the board had learnt a lesson from the FA Cup ticket pricing!!!
And for anybody without a great deal of excitement in their life tonight, it's live on Radio 5 sports extra
I'm just watching some paint dry and I think it will take about another hour, as my flat isn't too warm!!! Edit - Brentford take the lead against Villa and Cardiff go 2 up against Preston.
After tonight's results in the PL, I don't see anyone catching Chelski!!! Brighton and Newcastle LOOK pretty secure in 1st and 2nd in the Championship!!
I was watching MOTD last night, I was surprised to see no less than six ex-Norwich players involved in the Southampton v Swansea game. Don't know why, but I found it interesting!
Just seen AN interview from after the Brum match. Sounds like a sick bug has hit the camp bad. The cleaners in to disinfect the whole place.
Yes, apparently Jacob was suffering a bit on Saturday - child could explain his lackluster performance.
I believe AN said Jacob and one other hadn't practiced all week because of illness. CJ was the other. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...n_a_2_0_birmingham_championship_win_1_4867118
So yet another teenager making a name for himself in the PL, yet if he was at CR, he'd be restricted to under 21/23 games and perhaps the odd game on the bench - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38836079!!
But you're comparing the silky skills of the PL with the rough and tumble of the Championship. Though if the "good enough, old enough" tag worked for Alex Ferguson, I fail to see why it wouldn't work for anyone else named Alex, too
Couldn't agree more and there are certainly several of our youff who I'd like to see given a chance. I know the Murphy twins have been team/squad regulars whilst Godfrey came on as sub last week and Thompson would have been selected more had it not been for his injuries, but there is some real talent amongst our youngsters!!!!!
But none that cost us 27 Million quid, I think there'd be a real outcry if someone costing that much didn't get game time!
