Mate you're being silly. He's clearly the same character and the series was referred to as "the man with no name". One film was called Fistful of Dollars and the other For a Few Dollars More . Everyone accepts the third was also in the same series. Why do people turn these threads into a pissing contest ffs
because Lee van cleef is a totally different character with a different rank and name, Colonel Mortimer (retired) in few dollars, set after the civil war which is going on when he gets shot dead as a sargeant in the final fight in TGTB&tU. and the man with no name is called Manco in the second film.
What about your favourite sppof/parody films? For me its either Hot Shots (Top Gun Spoof) or Loaded Weapon 1 (Lethal Weapon spoof).
Has to be the Airplane series of films. A great spoof on the Airport disaster movies of the 70's and 80's
Loved all 3 ... the music with the watch chimes in A Few Dollars More was absolutely fantastic IMHO ... what a great final shootout scene
The first night I ever got stoned, I watched Naked Gun. Me and a couple of mates at the end of a late night shift. I was in bits. Absolute tears! I've NEVER laughed so much and so hard watching a film. Fcking brilliant.
Airplane: "We need to get this man to a hospital" "What's that?" "A large building with patients" ... or something like that ... and they just kept on coming ...
.... but that isnt important right now "Surely you cant be serious" "I am serious... and stop calling me Shirley!" Lloyd Bridges absolutely steals the film though... "looks like I picked the wrong day to give up glue sniffing"
Surprised 'Back to the Future II', hasn't got a mention. Great first movie, but the 2nd one was brilliant with the alternate present/future, and going back to the original to set things right.
GTFO ! Back to the Future was a classic. I enjoyed the 2nd one, but doesn't come anywhere close to the original, which was one of the most innovative films for years.
The originality of the first one, a great script, together with some brilliant comic performances from Michael J Fox, Crispen Glover and Christopher Lloyd, coupled with some great special effects and a brilliant soundtrack made the original an absolute classic. 2nd one was good at filling in the blanks and was nicely put together with some great gadgets (The hover board and the hydrating pizza machine) But not a patch on the first really.
