Well think how the country originated People vote for the hope and the message and not the person.... Look at Farage..... Well they have got their breath of fresh air.. let them enjoy it for a while I can see DT getting into trouble on the world stage.....
I went to a friend's house to see some holiday pics of New Zealand and he commented that NZ has a very strict immigration policy as they are worried about an influx of Asians. No one seems to get on their backs. Personally I think it is a good idea to control who comes in and out of your country as there are some very nasty people out there. As for Mr Trump. He is a leader and people like that and we could surely do with some after Obama & Cameron etc to deal with the likes of Putin, China and Daesh etc. I am undecided about him but I think we should give him a chance. Yes he says things many folk disagree with, but those who voted him in thought different, who are we to censure them? I think his bark will be worse than his bite. He has surrounded himself by some very intelligent, worldly wise people from the real world, rather than the political elite, and if nothing else they will keep him in check if necessary. We all do what is best for us, collectively this is usually best for everyone so if the US does what is best for it, then collectively this should be good for the Western World?
That mind numbing song comes to mind: It's not what you do it's the way that you do it Trump is adept at winding up and demeaning many sections of the community... Unlike anyone else i know
And let's keep the simplistic view. If I board an aircraft I am subject to numerous checks regardless of my innocence or any criminal record. If I attempt to live in another country even more checks are done. If I or my fellow citizens wished any harm past or present on said hosting country I would expect to be refused travel. That is not racist or anti anyting, that is just common sense!
1) so how come his is not banning people from Saudi, Pakistan or Afghnaistan where virtually all the terrorists have come from? Because he , and the US, have big business interests with those countries 2) Do you ban all people from one country with zero evidence? No he is making a statement..... using his muscle etc etc
I think that Trump succeeded in touching a raw nerve in American society. Barack Obama said something whilst in office, which was revolutionary, he said that 'America may have to accept, in the future, that it is no longer number 1 in the World', he was the first President to dare to utter such a thing. He was, of course, referring to the rise of China. Something which the USA. cannot prevent. Donald Trump also uses expressions such as 'I will make the USA. great again', note the 'again' - as if there is a tacit recognition that something has gone wrong - and it has gone wrong. Their infrastructure is crumbling, they have a massive trade deficit, they cannot stop whole groups of people from sinking into poverty, the American middle class is rapidly losing its spending power, and lastly, the USA is being economically outperformed by the EU. shortly to be overtaken, in the future, by China. America is frustrated by its belief that its way is the right way for the whole World - yet it is losing the influence it once had. It has become a power which is only that because of its military strength - and, even that, it can no longer afford. No wonder then, that when someone comes along and promises greatness that it is seized upon by swathes of the population - this is the reason why Putin is so popular in Russia - restoring Russia to its former glories and so on. Different country, but the same sentiment.
Why are you asking me these questions and how do you factually know he is not. After all we all only know what we know from media reporting not first hand experience.
It's interesting when you raise questions to encourage people to think about the facts, such as why i raised the 63 Million Trump voters in to the debate, still waiting for a sensible answer by the way, although NZHORN's was pretty good, although It's strange the only counter debate is isolated incidents from 'the media' I hasten to add, to support their words. It's all words to how supposedly bad he is but no reasoning behind why the equivalent of the UK population voted for him. Not a Trump supporter by any means but just searching for non media based biased.
All biase is media based brb. how could it be otherwise. How do we form our ideas about anything other than through the media ? The only way is to look at as much varied media as possible (unless you can actually live in a country for any time) and base your judgement on that.
