Most of our better performances have been against teams like Chelsea.
 
I suppose we need this kind of game, if we were playing a so called lower team that dug in again then it may further harm our confidence.
It's lucky that they won't play for a draw, Spurs are too close to them and they have a game vs Arsenal coming up soon, this should mean they come to win.

The line up I would have gone with. Pretty much the strongest one. <ok>
 
Klopp has a good record in these games. We are overdue a bad game against Chelsea so I think tonight is our time for a hammering. :(
 
In recent matches we've struggled as we've played against teams who are unwilling to try and play. Plymouth (home & away), Wolves and Swansea sat back for 90 minutes and were clinical when a chance did arise. When our attacking players are out of form that type of style is always going to make us struggle.

Chelsea will play defensively but will try and play football, they will actually possession so we have a chance to counter it.

I think we will see a different performance. Matip to come in to drop the out of form Klavan. Trent has a big test and needs support from everyone around him. Can needs to be dropped as his performances don't reward him with a match against top of the league.

I think a result is well within our reach seeing as our performances against the top teams have indicated this.

IMo we need to get clyne on the pitch as i'd be very nervous of taa v hazard.

I would agree that the lad needs support but he's got to be first of all conservative and second don't back off into his own pen area.

if the lad can buy himself time then hack the **** down out wide if needed i'll be happy. just don't sprint at the guy to close him down and get passed by and taken out of the game.

I would demand henderson stick in line with the CBS when we have it and get goal side of ball at all times so matip can move wider if needed

A result is always possible of course. but the doing then basics and being conservative will help.
 
We lost to Swansea. At home FFS. How did that even... we are getting smashed. :(

Considering I need sleep, think I'll go to bed at 8pm tonight.

it happened cos certain players didn't take it seriously and we could not defend a set piece.

what changes?

1. henderson won't be out of position
2. Matip will play
3. mane will be somewhere in the ground.
 
A draw is not a bad result, because we are going to take 4 points from Chelsea, however, we need to win
to remain in contention for top four finish.
