I wonder if he's still got shares at the Goodison club or something? Signing endless crocks and moaning about how many players he has out.
Blimey he's alright, that Ryan Mason, isn't he? Nothing too fancy buy always gets his head up, sees and executes some cracking passes, reads the game well and barely any sideways/backwards passes. I always thought when he was with us that he was the sort of player who could look like an integral cog of a team in the right surroundings with the right players around him. Not cos he's so incredibly gifted as a footballer technically but just cos he seemed to have a bit of everything and also have some real footballing smarts to really get the best out of his natural ability. Really hope he gets well soon.
Hi Poppickers , Getting focused in Barn HQ for tonight's slap and tickle. On the job most of the day , muck spreading a priority , Clever Trevor will give me a hand if he turns up after a beano knees up mother brown at the fox and ferret. Play 3 across the back at let Walker , Rose destroy them . If we play with tempo they won't be able to live with us . I always had a soft spot for Bristol City. Keep it up Sid (suprisingly confident )
I understood around 10% of that. Something along the lines of Mother brown tickling Trevor's ferret in the barn. Sounds like the sort of thing that should be on our West Ham thread
Kicks off at friggin' 21:45 tonight here. Bloody time difference. I'll try and get three hours kip first. 6 matches on live, only Bornemouth match missing. Shame one can't get Supersport in the UK. Or can you? You can pick it up in North Africa so perhaps a big F-Off sat dish and get a mate in Africa to pay the subscription and Hey ho. All the Saturday afternoon 3 pm matches live as well.
In SIDS world , the working week tends to be a more frugal affair unlike Sly and family Stones . As January detox with a bit of how's your father reserved for the weekend . Yesterday we had a visit from my sisters family who live in funky Brighton . Her indoors made a Lebanese ️chicken filo pie . It was savoury and sweet with a filling of dried apricot , minced ️chicken and bulgur wheat ( the thinking mans cous cous ) . It was wonderful with roasted pepper and caper salad maybe a little tart for the everyman but perfect . She has 3 boys who love meat And meat only , shut your eyes Mr Morrissey . 2 of our own Chickens were spatchcocked ( they have stopped laying eggs , about 3 years old , had 5 acres to roam and have a natural foraging diet , some would say a hen utopia .) These were marinated and were deliciously succulent . The boys got through them very quickly . My wife and sister were on the old Joanna ( I bought a baby grand in the the summer for my 2 girls as they are both talented , also the youngest plays a harp . ) a perfect evening on a Suffolk winter night . Tonight I will finish off the barren scraps as the little lady is at her lindy hop fitness class , no nickers in a pear tree but who's counting . Love and happiness , A contented Sid .
No Lloris! team: Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Dier, Rose, Dembele, Wanyama, Dele, Eriksen, Son, Kane (c) subs: Lopez, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Wimmer, Sissoko, Winks, Janssen Back 4 today, would have rathered another attacker on the bench over 3 defenders but oh well. COYS
Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Dier, Rose, Dembele, Wanyama, Dele, Eriksen, Son, Kane (c) subs: Lopez, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Wimmer, Sissoko, Winks, Janssen. Team news: Hugo Lloris has not travelled and misses out on tonight's game through illness.
Thought we'd go back to a 4-2-3-1 after Wimmer's past couple of games, just weren't expecting a Hugo illness! Glad Vorm got a game on Saturday, should've got any rust out of the system and will hopefully be fresh for tonight. Glad Son starts, been in great form lately.
In fairness to Vorm he had no protection from his defence on Saturday...seemed to really through him. I had a bad feeling about this match...maybe cos the last time we played up there we got slaughtered at toon and Lloris being out hasn't made me feel any better!
