Booing paddy McCourt at the game tonight....and they wonder why young catholic lads are chosing to play for the republic?

 

I can't say I can hear booing? In fact I heard them singing his name and cheering whenever he scored

 

2 great goals... his second was brilliant!

not sure you can tar them all with the same brush. Like any football fans they will have a certain amount of arseholes.

I have not heard any reports (apart from here) that paddy was booed

Although brum is true, he was booed during the first half, but to be fair the fans were a bit frustrated at the lack of finishing from their side on the whole and maybe tool
It out on paddy more than most. 2nd half there were no boos, so maybe they are just fickle bigots??

Anyways 2 good goals from the man. Any chance Lenny will give him more than a 10 min cameo here and there?

I was at the game last night, McCourt wasn't booed once during the game, in fact most touch's were cheered and his name was sung on many occassions. GAWA

McCourt was cheered last night and after his 1st goal went in every touch of the ball he got was welcomed with a cheer. I guess you didn't hear them singing there's only 1 Pat McCourt either.

There was booing in the first half - my source is me - i watched it. Im not saying it was a majority of fans but he was booed

Second half he very much won them over though - and yes they did sing his name. and fair play to them for it

And i will confirm that McGinn was surprisingly greeted with many cheers when he came on. I only say surprisingin in this instance because he shot himself in his foot with his recent comments re playing for the republic

Complete bollocks. McCourt has and will never get booed by the Norn Iron fans. The fans booed when he was shown a yellow card. That was not directed at him, that was directed at the ref.
