Completely ignoring my points and filling in the blanks to be honest mate but it seems everyone wants to be part of the witch hunt! I'd like to clarify I'm not in support of LJ. Just in this instance.
Didn't ignore your points. not every club in the land goes to the media. Evidence was in Lee Johnsons own words and he did a massive u turn. Others points are being ignored.
Okay none of it's true, they are best pals and as per ignore the very simple question put towards you. I'll say ask again and see if you can answer it with your oh so superior logic. If everything is hunky dory between Tomlin and LJ why do they feel the need to address rumour? If it's all rumour why give it a second thought? If it's conjecture why is it THIS rumour above all others that they want to compound as nonsense, and none of the 1000 that go around social media pertaining to this club? It's not psychology (although la de da I do have an A Level in that ) it's basic common sense to me that says there must be something to it.
Because he's our best player, we're in dreadful form, and there are lots of rumours. It's pretty simple!
Okay, as always, that's very rich. From a poster who claims to only deal in fact and not opinion, you are basing your irrelevant point of "because he's our best player" on what exactly? Where is the statistical facts and evidence to indicate Tomlin is our best player? Not the bloke who's had a hand in almost every win we've had this year Tammy? Again, even if your opinion was true (which it quite clearly isn't) what would that have to do with him responding to this particular rumour? Are rumours about the unhappiness of every other member of the squad not worth his time? No logic to your point at all. Still waiting for any of your posts to contain a fact.
Oh come on, I'm not being specific, it's a generalisation. Is he or is he not one of our best and/or most prominent players? Hence, is he or is he not going to have more of an impact when bad rumours surround him v say Mark Little? I'm not the one who needs to provide facts! You're the ones suggesting there's a rift, so the burden isn't on me. In every single discussion all you seem to be able to do is take someone's argument and use it back against them, and it literally never makes sense.
Management encompasses training. It is part of FA badges from level 1 to licences to Managers courses. Psychology to a degree is included. I have stuck to my point as have others. Players should be not be criticised in public particularly when in Freemans case he initially had done absolutely nothing wrong. A player should not fear recrimination for not signing a contract. It is quite quite wrong to discipline an individual publically for doing NOTHING wrong. The psychology was at best ill advised ... And yes due to my background in the NHS/Social services I do have a qualified understanding.
so what exactly was the critism? It cant be a comment on he will not sign a contract, ( bearing in mind Hollowhead came in with a derisory initial offer) many managers have stated in the past "his head is not with it it would be unfair to him and the team for him to play" so it cant be that. he didn't call him any names or said he wasn't trying or was a crap player , .... so cant be that ............. so what is it
LJ said his head was not right even though he was playing ok (imho), said he was not committed even though he was playing ok and he would be left out till he signed a contract even though he was playing ok. Hardly a pat on the head that.
Whether there is or isn't a rift, I'm asking why give a rumour credence if there is nothing in it? If they addressed every rumour they would never have time to train, they would be constantly giving interviews. In this instance I firmly believe there to be a fairly blatant ongoing dispute, hence why he felt the need to put Tomlin in front of a camera and quash it as the rift is seemingly obvious to everyone and he needs to save face to create a veil of togetherness at a time where there is none. As for Tomlin being generally considered one of our best players? No, not this season. Last season, yes, but at present, bang average.
I've answered these points already mate.... 'If they addressed every rumour...', yes, hence why I said they only addressed this one down to him being our best player / most prominent / most famous, whatever you want to call it.
Yes and we have established that he isn't any of those things so your already thin argument falls down somewhat. I'd argue that the burden of proof to dispel a rift is on you given all evidence points towards one. If the papers and the BBC are taking an interest in a small relegation fodder club like us over petty rumour, there is generally truth in it. But okay, happy to agree to disagree.
We'd might as well end it, but I do have to address one thing. Do you genuinely not think that Lee Tomlin is one of our most prominent players? You don't think that if you ask fans of random clubs to name 3 players who play for City, most would mention Tomlin? If not, I'm afraid I don't believe you.
All the best to Luke Freeman, I wish him well and his boss a disaster but good riddance, I welcome David Cotterill back, I liked him when he was here before and he is more than an adequate replacement, good luck mate..
you always wonder when a player like LF leaves "what if" ...........Bolasie turned out to be a good'un Albert ditto .. and we moan about not being wide enough .. last night the most frightening bit was when O'Dowda was subbed and we went narrow ! brought on O ' neil and Sheff countered with Macmanaman BUT WE HELD OUT THIS TIME with DC on the wing who knows?
