Interesting to see a couple of Frankels being dispersed at this sale. However I wonder if Nass will have his cheque book out as his sandrat hero Poyle Vinnie looks set to go through the ring. A horse I like that I think may have some potential is lot 350, ABAAD. This Bated Breath colt is a smallish but very nice looking chestnut who I reckon is a sure-fire future winner having looked bery green on his second run at Lingfield. He made 230,000gns as a yearling but is likely to sell for a fraction of that this time and could be a nice little syndicate horse.
Re one of the Frankel’s being sold. Family Business, who won last week, for one of the Roger’s. I see he’s already been gelded. Was surprised when I noticed this. Abaad, his current stable mate, looks a potentially nice sort. Half-brother to a Listed winner and another who was placed at that level. One more run and the old boy is qualified for handicaps. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more… Meanwhile, I’m sure old boy Gosden’s Von Blucher will go for a tidy sum. Expect him to make up into a very good 4YO.
