As you're a spokesman for the World maybe you can tell me how Britain's democratic image has taken a knock. I can't speak for the World but I can say that for me and the people in my life democracy has spoken. Ignore it at your peril. Not a threat as such just a weary warning about disconnection from the political process for vast swathes of people who felt strongly enough to Brexit. Weasel your way around it all you like, try to subvert it as you may this is what we want. You get what you want then we're ignored and as voter turnout plummets, the smug elite will queue up for Question Time and speak in hushed tones about the "need to fully engage with 'the people', to actually listen to what they're saying to us..."
We've spoken.

SkyNews are getting a h@@d on today as 1m people have signed a petition to stop Trumpton coming here. Why weren't they this vocal when the Chinese President visited? I bet you cannot guess how many people have been liquidated or imprisoned since he has been leader? Did Mugaby visit the UK as well?
Answers on a postcard
Agree mate. I hate all this politics stuff. If QPR would play better I could concentrate on that.Don't worry Ellers - its only an advisory petition (like the EU ref) and can be ignored
Sky love a drama to fill those news hours though, don't they. Wonder how they will change once it becomes 100% Fox
Here is something to throw into the mix.
All these protests about Donald Duck coming over yet why are these protesters staying quiet about Israelis?
16 countries don't allow Israelis in (including I believe TF's own)?

Can't disagree with that. Only thing is it's not easy to get into Israel if you're from those countries either.

I little more eloquently put, but basically no more than the familiar 'you lost, get over it'.
I'm not entirely sure this is a lie, Telford. Us Brits like to play by the rules, which is why we prefer to form queues and cough politely into our hands and get quietly outraged rather than point out the error of queue-jumpers' ways. I find it wholly believable that, having joined a club, we'd have embraced its rules and played fair in our dealings with fellow members. So I find it equally believable that, having had many years of witnessing other club members not entirely operating to that same set of values, we may have decided that this isn't the sort of club we wish to be a member of.
