Little bit off topic but when Silva was interviewed during his first week, he said he had a limited budget. I interpreted that as been a net outward spend of x million after fees and wages. But now, it's virtually guaranteed (unless there major signings tomorrow) that in fact he won't have actually spent anything because of all the outgoings. Wonder if he feels he's been misled.
The big worry is after all this in Jan, we might as well have waited and gone down, brought in a suitable replacement as manager and spent the money then. Now we are blowing it on loans and foreigners who are in their 30's. We might as well scour the lower leagues and do what we did with Clucas, finding young and hungry players. Anyway we'll have to see.
