Made a habit of struggling in these games this season though. Hull away, Palace away.... go to Sunderland in a couple of weeks too
Your penultimate word undermines the message of your post. Exactly the reason that these games are very tough. A draw isn't a poor result. It's not necessarily a good result either, but ok.
Maybe people forget our form though the 90s! Many came a calling at the Dell for an easy three points. Many went home with tails stuck firmly between legs...
Id also really appreciate a firm Chelsea enquiry for Llorente this morning, too. Fats, I nominate you considering you cant have much to do on Gardening leave, to call Swansea in a dopey Russian accent, to make such enquiries. Is that a 'yes'?
Mrs Jizz is actually Russian, I will check with her if that was a Da or a Nede! I was only kidding, times I left companies before were the busiest of times as you never want to leave on bad terms and want to enjoy a proper handover with others, burning bridges and all that...
Every game I've been to at Swansea (admittedly, only 3!) have been pretty tough and we certainly haven't waltzed away from there thinking it was an easy match. As long as we win... <fingers crossed>
Not at all. Simply because a team has a lot to play for and are more in need of the points doesn't come into it until perhaps the last game of the season when some sides have nothing to play for at all. If all these teams got good results because they were really battling they wouldn't be in the bottom 3 at all! Their desire to win certainly does not negate the fact that they are one of the worst teams in the league, you can't simply ignore that fact.
Mr Puel said we now have ten on the injured list, wouldn't reveal who the new one is. McCarthy has had surgery and VVD may be out for weeks (he didn't say months).
I can only find news of 9: 26/1 Jay Rodriguez Ankle injury. 25/1 James Ward-Prowse Chest injury. 24/1 Virgil van Dijk Ankle injury. 8/12 Charlie Austin Dislocated shoulder. 28/10 Alex McCarthy Hamstring strain. 26/10 Jake Hesketh Ankle injury. 17/10 Matt Targett Hamstring strain. 25/8 Jérémy Pied Knee injury. 5/1 Sofiane Boufal Knee inflammation. Although Shane Long had a knock in the Arsenal match, but seemed to run it off.
I'm not. I am simply saying that a point away from home to anyone is not necessarily a bad result, be they be in the bottom three or not.
I thought Boufal was ok now but couldn't play because of the AFCON rules. I thought he would be available now.
Yes, I guess they were officially listing him as injured until Morocco were knocked out, and now he'll be mysteriously healed!
You can't say if a result is a good or a bad one until the game - a Swansea can play out of their skin on any given day, in which case a point is a good result. By the same token, a Man City can be bog awful on occasion, in which case a point is disappointing. There are very very few teams around you can really make that statement with. Chelsea right now being the main one.
https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017...match-swansea-city-southampton-premier-league Injury update: James Ward-Prowse, Jay Rodriguez and Sofiane Boufal all out. 3 weeks mentioned for VVD.
These Swansea chappies. I understand they were playing at Anfield weekend before last and 5 goals were scored. So they got a damned good hiding from The Reds then? What was that ...? Can we just take the draw and keep our players tucked up in their beds so we don't get any more injuries?
So we're you saying we should smash Liverpool a week ago because they conceded 3 at home to Swansea? Doesn't quite work like that. Quite frankly we should be expecting to beat Swansea. If we do draw then it isn't the end of the world by any means but we should aim for better in my opinion.
