I thought all the Lord of the Rings were equally as good. The Hobbit series is good, you'd get into it if you enjoyed LOTR. Indiana Jones, The Temple of Doom was actually better than Raiders of the Lost Ark, if you aaaks me.
The clearest one is Dark Knight. Great film compared to the very slow first film in that series. If you consider it a sequel to the original Tim Burton films, it is still much better.
Of the Lord of Rings, I thought Return of the King was the worst although it was seemingly rated the best for some reason. Fellowship was the best though. That was a great film, although I agree they were all good, if not quite equally so. I personally enjoyed the first 3 Indian Jones films more or less equally. I've still never seen the 'new' one.
Agree 100% with this. Fellowship was the best one. The battle for Helms deep in the second one was great, but other than that, I found it a tad boring. The third one I wanted to rip my eyes out, just wouldnt end. Went to see it with my wife (then my girlfriend) and she fell asleep about 45 minutes in. I wish I had too,. Awful movie
As for Indy, I have to say, now I think about it.....Last Crusade is my favourite. Raiders is awesome, Doom is good, but Sean Connery and Harrison Ford's chemistry is hilarious. "They're shooting at us Junior!" "I KNOW DAD!"
I liked The Two Towers the best out of the LOTR trilogy, purely just for that Legolas scene in the battle where he slides down the steps on the shield, firing arrows like a mad man only to then flick the shield off into the chest of a orc. Hobbit trilogy was ****, massively ruined by making all the orcs CGI.
Thats the problem with GF2 though. The De Niro scenes were excellent, but I found the Pacino parts much less compelling than both the De Niro scenes and the first movie.
I get what you're saying but think Pacino is brilliant at portraying Michael's evolvement into the emotionless, murdering mob boss having started the first film as the all American military hero.
Yeah the superhero type films don't usually do too well second time around but both X Men and Batman Returns were better I think.
Loved batman returns, Not sure it can beat Nicholson as the Joker in the first movie though, even if it does have Christopher Walken and Michelle Pfeiffer looking hot as **** in skin tight leather Very good sequel nonetheless
