I'm surprised Robertson has been a pick for the first 3 posters here - he never got close enough to his man and I can't remember him putting in a tackle all game. Looked to me like he didn't want to get injured whilst the transfer window was still open. Huddlestone did his best playing out of position (he's wasted at CB - I'd rather Meyler played there and Hudd's in the middle) and Evandro did a few decent things, not least in scoring a lovely goal, but those two were the only players in black and amber today who have no need to be ashamed of their performance. Meyler is willing but he gives the ball away too often, too easily. Clucas ran about but couldn't find a pass. Elabbadabbadoo and Markovic played like they hated one another. Diomande was shockingly bad. Maguire struggled. Hernandez... oh dear, oh dear. Jakupovic looked bang average. Not a good day today. Marco is going to have to get busy in the next two days - with Curtis subbing himself after 10 mins we are in desperate need of a CB.
the best two Hull City players were Cairney and Aluko - who Brucie got rid of so he could play Meyler and Diomande - it beggars belief that he thinks his son was worth a three year contract and these two were worth giving away
Have seen Cairney play a couple of matches for Fulham and he controlled a fair bit of the game for them. How did he measure up today?
he played well - was instrumental in first and final goals - ran midfield at times - he's a good player - not sure how he would do in the Prem - I would say hes better than Clucas
like Thursday it was hard to choose three. But for the opposite reason: too few worthy candidates versus too many. Best of a bad bunch... Evandro Robertson Meyler
