    apparently there was some craic a week back saying wigan and stoke were the only ones to enquire about him but it's probably all BS

    Why the **** would he go to Stoke to play ****ty hoof ball? If he rates himself as a footballer he'll stay well clear. All he'll be doing is lumping up balls to those gorillas up front.

    Don't do it Joey.

    Stoke are also ****ing over rated in terms of a fan base. They only started singing after 3-0 and were still pwned by 2500 geordies that were there.

    Why the hell would Barton go to bloody Stoke of all places. It's an absolute dump in pretty much every way.

    He really wants to stay at Newcastle, and he still has a £60k per week contract here for another year, so why would be jump ship to Stoke? Even after this season he'll still be young enough to land a 4+ year contract, so there's no urgency (unlike Nolan)

    Some teams are gonna be hard to beat this season - Stoke, Blackburn, West Brom. Gonnabe a hard season, could have been so much better if we got Gerv, Long and Naylor.

    Good luck to him I say. If he had been offered an improved contract before none of this twitter business would have happened and this could have all been avoided. But that's just my opinion.

    Cheers, I don't like him much really, but he slagged Barton off loads in past, but he'll bum him if he joins Stoke. We don't want to see Joey bummed right?
