We had Ameobi and Lovenkrands for huge chunks of last season, so with the addition of Ba, Ben Arfa and probably another new striker, why do you think our 'lack of striking options' will lead us to suffer?

Really, I have no idea why people are so negative about the squad. It's much stronger in quality and depth.

 

I think he knows Everton are potless and so do the fans, I'm sure he would be kicking off if he knew they had 35 million to spend and werent.

I have said it before, as far as investments go we have to be one of the better sides to own, its pretty much a monopoly up here in terms of fans, other than the scum over the river. 50,000 fans plus every week, plus merchandise.... i hope once Ashley sorts the wages and clears a bit of the debt we will be up for sale again and get someone in willing to invest a bit more in the club and respect the fans so we can push on once more.

While its only our second season since our return to the prem we went down with a strong squad predominantly made up of premiership players and came up largely with the same squad.... point proven by how well we did last season., only a 93rd minute goal stopped us finishing top ten.

We have lost Nolan and probably Enrique. Barton wont go until end of the season, hopefully.

Routledge has gone and a couple of hangers on such as Sol Campbell etc... they will not be missed

We have signed Cabaye, Marveux, Ba, Obertan and Abeid.... Ben Arfa and Gosling will be like new signings seeing as they were out all of last season. We are stronger than last year. My only concern is potential morale because we have lost some big personalities in the dressing room.

Looking at the squad we came up from the championship with in comparison to Swansea, Norwich and QPR.... coupled with the likes of Wigan, West Brom, Wolves.... there are a number of teams we should be finishing above, next season shows though nothing is a certainty.

Cant see us struggling too badly this year, mid table finish i expect but, in typical NUFC style we will flirt with relegation for a bit to give the fans a bit of stress before pulling away toward the back end of the season.

 

Good luck to the Swans too Can maybe understand why so people could see us struggling. But, I think a comfortable 11th position whilst beating the Mackems on the way will be the outcome!
