Just watched Victorian bakers at Xmas - and the gap between rich and poor was horrendous.

New BFG Movie. Loved the book and the cartoon film when was a kid. Interesting to see how they do with this. Looks visually impressive so far.

Jonathan Creek special, Planet Earth 2 "Cities" episode, which was heartbreaking, and then both parts of the re-imagined Revolting Rhymes.

The Wire Season 5. Not sure why it's rated one of the best shows of all time. I'd probably give it a low 8.

If you haven't seen it, watch 'Speed' with Guy Martin, when he takes his battered Ford Transit to compete in the fastest road race in the world.

Cheers for the heads up on this. Not the sort of thing I usually watch, much as I admire Tom Hardy, so I caught it 'on demand'.

    Very good indeed. <ok>

I'm cursing the full weeks wait to get the next installment. I'm getting too used to binge watching box sets on Amazon or kodi.
Loved is utterly uncompromising meeting with the EITc.
Her indoors was asking at the end if he was supposed to be the good guy in it. I had to say 'central character' and likely to only likely to appear slightly good by virtue of the villainous EITco. Sounds like his back story as more detail comes out is gonna be every bit as intreging as what happens next.

    Bah!

Anyone watched 'the OA' on Netflix?

Wouldn't usually be my bag but thought it was bloody brilliant.

It's on my list, and one I will watch as one of my next. It's one of the top rated shows at the moment I think. What would you say it was similar to?

I'm watching Season 4 of "American Horror Story" which I am enjoying. Also watching "Trapped" with the Girlfriend, which is pretty good!

I went into it thinking it would be a bit 'Stranger Things' but I'm not sure how best to describe it really.

Wouldn't usually be something I'd be into (in terms of the topic) but found it addictive viewing& chain watched in 2 days.. still find myself thinking about it now & that was 2 weeks ago, the story is certainly one of the most compelling & the delivery & production make it pretty spectacular

Certainly provided a fill after finishing Westwood, now just need to find something else...

Have you ever watched "The Missing"? We watched Series 2 the other week, and it was fantastic.

    Search Party:

That was fantastic! Wasn't sure at first, but after only a few episodes I really got into it. Grew and grew. Brilliant little drama! Kind of funny at points, but mostly just interesting and gripping for the story. 9/10

Have you watched Narcos? - Subtitled, but well worth the effort.

    Bojack Horseman? - Very good.

    Stranger Things? - Fantastic.

The OA? - Going to watch it soon, heard many many great things about it.

    You seem easily bored!

If you like Archer etc, give Bojack a watch, it's great!

Narcos takes some getting into, but escalates wildly. Gets very good!

The description of The OA sounds brilliant! I'll put it to top of my list!!
