Will it be a Crazy Tuesday for Saints????

So Guys & Gals, will Southampton feature heavily (for once), on the madness of the Transfer Window Slamming Shut on Tuesday Evening?

What do we all think will happen? Well we are definitely in for a striker with Gabbiadini being the one we are linked with the most. Most of us would also agree that a CB is probably more urgent than a striker, especially if the news on VVD tomorrow is bad. Could we get Sakho or Maguire, or the usual under the radar signing?

As for players out. None I would imagine, however JayRod is still being linked with WBA. Now we are out of FA Cup and the fixture congestion will slow down considerably now, will we let players like Isgrove and Reed go out on loan??


At least we may get a sky reporter outside either Staplewood or St Mary's for once?

 

I think we will sort Manolo and the German CB from Spartak tomorrow and then no other (major) business on Tuesday so we can keep up our stance of not doing anything panic last minute...

 

Letting Jay go has never been a serious consideration.

Hi Beefy - the question was would it be a 'mad Tuesday'? I don't think it will. Gabbiadini seems a done-deal; there is speculation over a loaned goal keeper - for me that's not a big signing. Do I see another big signing - e.g. a CB - no. Happy to be proven wrong however.

 

Read your post again. You said it will be a quiet few days, I disagree. 2 players basically done and to be paraded. A cb is very much on our list as well.

Agree with it all being tied up before tuesday though.

 

Sorry Beefy - can see what you thought I meant. Hopefully I am proven wrong and we do get a CB - one that can start rather than one for the future as I do not think we have the luxury of waiting for that progression - which is unfortunate, but we have such limited options at the moment.

 

Gabbiadini on bench tonight, so can't see this one going through till Tuesday. And they're 1-0 down, so chances are they'll use him tonight. Fingers crossed, no injury.

 

Do we really need another transfer thread? I don't want to read through a load of different threads that say exactly the same thing.

 

I would like to get at least one more goalkeeper in by Tuesday
