does anybody know when the next round draw is ? oh wait a minute wrong board wheres the sutton board theyll know
Hope your not suggesting he gets the sack. That would be utterly ridiculous. Fair play to Sutton. Best team won easily. We had what, 1 half chance.
Only positive to come out of this is that we can now firm up the summer 'get rid' list. Grimes & Antonsson no longer 90% certs. 100% rating now confirmed.
Thank fck we are out of that tin pot cup, not one team has taken this comp serious, now for promotion.
I 100% agree about grimes. I think Antonsson just didnt get enough of the ball. It was a game of passing it along the back 4
There's more to football than what you do on the ball. Antonsson was signed on his goalscoring record, most of which came form his movement off the ball. That was where he failed today IMO. No movement. If you're not getting the ball, you should make yourself available. He didn't.
I watched the penalty again & confirmed my earlier assessment. 1. Coyle should have cleared. 2. As Coyle didn't clear, it was down to Silvestri to get the ball. He had it covered, but their player came crashing though, missed the ball & took out Silvestri. Free kick to us. Awful refereeing decision.
Like most other teams it looks like the Management couldn't be arsed with the FA cup. Appreciate that there were something like 8 unknowns in the team but it was against a non-league team. Not saying they should have walked it but FFS they are professionals and supposed to do this for a living. What it clearly shows is that we do not have any strength in depth in the squad. You look back to the 70's when Leeds stuffed them 6-0 Don Revie did not take them lightly and put out a full team.
An exaggeration. Midfield had a lot of ball, but no target man available. Whatever Antonsson is, he's not able to lead the line on his own. Not the first time he's failed.
This is how we've behaved as well. The pull of £100m TV money doesn't give these tournaments a fighting chance for the likes of us. It would appear that us, Brighton and Leeds have set up our sides to take no risks with promotion and opt to go out. But respect to Gary Monk. He's taken responsibility for the outcome today.
