Nice for Fulham to be on the receiving end:-

FA Cup - Hull striker misses two penalties in a minute

Abel Hernandez misses again. It's a superb save by Marcus Bettinelli.

Now that my friends, is how you end a dire day.

Two penalties, both saved. Fire up the team bus and just get out of there.

    PENALTY TO HULL
    Fulham 4-1 Hull

10:16 Marcus Bettinelli made a routine save to deny Abel Hernandez - it was a dribbler of a penalty. But the keeper brought the striker down as he touched the rebound away from goal. A second spot-kick to come.

    MISSED PENALTY

    Fulham 4-1 Hull

10:16 Abel Hernandez, the chance to make the score a little less ugly. He strolls up, my oh my, that is ugly. It's saved easily but from the follow up...

    PENALTY TO HULL
    Fulham 4-1 Hull

10:14 Andrew Robertson is felled in the area and it's a certain penalty.

After an early disallowed goal for Sutton, Silvestri is really keeping Ledds in the match with a series of fine saves.

We should sign up Roarie Deacon - a goal disallowed and three blinders that Silvestri has saved.

We definitely need one of those........

Deacon has come to be known by manager Paul Doswell and Sutton supporters as "magic man".[34]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roarie_Deacon

"If Roarie Deacon's not playing league football by the end of the week I'll be amazed. One of the great shop-window performances so far as he again terrorises the Leeds back four and brings a yellow card for Tyler Denton, who hacks him down."

    Artificial pitch a 'massive advantage'

Sutton play every game on this pitch, train on it every day. They are used to it.

They know every blade. They know how the ball carries and bounces.

That is a massive advantage. They have got to make that count.

Leeds defensive screw up x2, results in a penalty to Sutton which they score, 1-0 up, deservedly so.

    Sutton 1-0 Leeds

I don't think Jamie Collins will score a more important goal.

It was a very well taken penalty.

Even if Silvestri had gone the right way, I don't think he would have saved it.

Sutton are the ones who have dominated the game. They deserve to be 1-0 ahead.

    Nine changes for Man Utd
Man Utd v Wigan (16:00 GMT)

Nine changes for Manchester United from the side that faced Hull City in the EFL Cup semi-final on Thursday.

The only two survivors are defenders Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo. Among those starting are midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and 19-year-old Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Schweinsteiger's last United start? Against Sheffield United in the FA Cup last January.

Man Utd XI: Romero, Fosu-Mensa, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Fellaini, Schweinsteiger, Mkhitaryan, Mata, Martial, Rooney. Subs: Pereira, Blind, Tuanzebe, Herrera, Young, Ibrahimovic, Rashford.

Championship strugglers Wigan are unchanged from the side that beat Brentford 2-1 last weekend.

Wigan XI: Haugaard, Buxton, Perkins, Warnock, Power, Morsy, Grigg, Connolly, MacDonald, Jacobs, Burn. Subs: Jaaskelainen, James, Kellett, Tunnicliffe, Morgan, Wildschut, Browne.

It's really about time that clubs are fined heavily for making mass changes to their sides for FA Cup matches, totally devalues the competition.........The ridiculous thing is that teams like Luton, Fleetwood and Portsmouth have been fined disproportionate amounts for not playing 5 players that played in the previous league game when playing a Checkatrade EFL Cup Tie........Rod Liddle did an excellent article on this in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago, the FA need to get this sorted......

Sutton are currently 1-0 up against a Leeds youth side essentially.
Apparently if Sutton win there will be more non league sides in the last 16 than ever before. This shows exactly that the bigger sides now have zero respect for the FA cup.

I recall Ollie's Blackpool being fined for fielding a deemed understrength team in a PL match that actually put in quite a strong performance.....

"Holloway was almost vindicated as his makeshift team were narrowly beaten 3-2 after a last-minute goal from James Collins."

"The Seasiders boss made 10 changes to the side that drew 2-2 against Everton at Bloomfield Road the Saturday before."

Blackpool fined £25,000 by Premier League

Holloway became manager of Blackpool in 2009

Blackpool have been fined £25,000 by the Premier League for fielding a weakened team in a league game against Aston Villa on 10 November.

The Seasiders boss made 10 changes to the side that drew 2-2 against Everton at Bloomfield Road the Saturday before.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway had threatened to resign if the club were fined, later saying: "I'm the manager and I manage the players how I want."

The Seasiders have 14 days to decide whether to appeal against the fine.

Holloway was almost vindicated as his makeshift team were narrowly beaten 3-2 after a last-minute goal from James Collins.

A similar move by Mick McCarthy last season resulted in Wolves getting a suspended £25,000 Premier League fine.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said he questioned the Premier League's decision.

"You are allowed to have 25 players," said Ferguson, who is expected to make a significant number of changes to his own starting line-up for Saturday's FA Cup tie at Southampton.

"They ask you to name them. They don't ask you to name your 11 and 14 substitutes. The rules are there."

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston called the fine "unjust" and said the club could appeal against it. He also stated that he would ensure Holloway did not follow through with his threat to leave Bloomfield Road.

"There is no way I would countenance Ian resigning and I will do everything in my power to make sure that doesn't happen," Oyston told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I think he is disappointed the same as we all are because on the face of it, it is an unjust fine and seems to lack reason.

"The Premier League set their criteria that you have to name a 25-man squad ahead of the season and effectively they then come back in a scarily big brother-type way and tell you those players aren't good enough or the manager hasn't got the right to name the team that he wants to name."

Speaking after the match at Villa Park, Holloway had admitted that making such wholesale changes may have looked like a "crazy" move but he said his hand was forced by the busy Premier League calendar.

"We've got four games in 12 days and the lads I've played every week are struggling to keep up the level," he stated.

Holloway threatened to resign in 2010

"Let them try and fine me, it's an absolute disgrace. I'll show the Premier League. We were a credit to football, and let the Premier League try to tell me otherwise."

Premier League rules stipulate that all clubs must select from a 25-man squad.

Holloway argued that because he had fulfilled this obligation, a case for fielding an understrength side could not be mounted against him.

However, the Premier League said it considers this an extreme case.

Blackpool have also confirmed that Holloway's team selection for their FA Cup third-round loss at Southampton was also taken into consideration before the verdict.

Holloway made nine changes for that game earlier this month as he prioritised a Premier League game against Liverpool the following week.

He effectively said he was prepared to write off the FA Cup because his team had little chance of winning the competition and avoiding relegation should be his prime aim.

4 mins of added time for 10 man Leeds to try and pull this match out of the fire, a result they most certainly do not deserve.

sometimes you need to hoof the ball into the area. Don't think Leeds tested the Sutton goalie once after they went 1-0 down. Nearly had a good double , 3 corners short in the live treble, had a lot of time to get them too:headbang:

Great to see Costa's penalty saved after he "won" it by falling over the leg he threw himself at.

Wolves win 3-1 at Barnsley to leap frog us to 35 pts. Cardiff also beat Preston 2-0 at home to move up the table away from us onto 36 pts. Forest also get the jump on us beatring Rotherham, 2-0, so a bad night for us with the other scores.

After Newcastle, very important to try and get a win at Blackburn - we should have fielded the weaker team for Newcastle, not Burton or potentally Blackburn.

So we're now on the bubble by GD on 33 pts, 5 pts above Burton & Bristol City (who tied Sheff Wed 2-2 tonight), with our GD on thin ice fter our trip to Newcastle tomorrow night.
