To be fair, he tried to get the horse to take a stride and pop it but Royal Caviar didn't want to know and did his own thing. Horse error more than pilot error there.
Nice one STH. Backed that one a few times over hurdles this season and then deserted it today for the one Rachel Blackmore was on at 28s. Finished 4th.
Heck of a ride by Jack Kennedy in the end that was. Horse travelled through beautifully from the back to move into contention from 2 out and he was very strong in the finish to run out a game winner having not lead anywhere bar the line. Powersbomb made a poor mistake 2 out and he rallied really well, depends what Noel O'Brien does with him now but I'd say he would be sure to go close next time up if he's not harshly treated for that. As for Elusive Ivy, she may find life tough and I wouldn't be surprised were they to up her in trip in search of further improvement. A nice winner for a gloomy Sunday.
Mr.Mole has fallen a long way hasn't he. Should retire him rather than persist in very poor races with him.
Also for for Le Richebourg in the bumper although well held by Debuchet on their previous meeting. Perhaps Miss O'Brien's 5lbs claim is persuading them?
Petit Mouchoir did it the hard way there and for me is the most credible Irish challenger for the Champion Hurdle. Has a strong cruising speed and can quicken again - broke Nicholls Canyon there.
Mcmanus' thousands stays in the bookies satchels. IG was 12s this morning. Ran a shocker on his favoured ground too. Not up to this level clearly.
I'd have Petit Mouchoir over Yanworth in the Champion Hurdle. That was a fair gallop they set there. It depends on whether Faugheen shows up.
