    To be fair...it was his decision. He made and forced the issue so he was showing he didn't want any part of Saints any longer. So no I wouldn't give him a medal either.
    That doesn't mean I am not grateful for his contribution over the last 7 years but as it was his decision not the clubs then bye, bye and ta muchly.

    It really is a shame how little sentiment there is in football. Although it is perfectly natural in any other business you won't employ someone and pay them millions if they are not good at their job.

    N.B. I'm not saying the likes of Sharp and Hammond were not good for us, but perhaps not enough for the prem

    Not aimed at you, but who said he wants a medal btw? Unless it's him personally via his social media, I seriously doubt a proud professional footballer playing for another team would ask for one. Isn't this a story out of nowhere?

    Yes, noticed on his Instagram actually after I posted. It's a throwaway comment, though. Definitely not worth people getting riled about. If it's in the rules, it's in the rules - if he's played x amount of games and qualifies for a medal, not sure why anyone cares so much. Good servant, and it won't mean as much to him as it will to anyone who played in the final.

    It's also possible he wasn't literally meaning to bring him a medal, so much as meaning to go and get one for yourselves (that you can show me when I next see you).
