Not only that JB, the free kick was taken about 10 yards up the field to where the foul was committed. The ref wanders up the pitch and has no interest in ensuring the free is taken from the right place. Lino also uninterested, then does not see 2 (maybe 3) Wolves players offside It allowed Wolves to whip the delivery in very well, and one of the offside players to head in. At the end of the first half, two minutes injury time are given. Ref blows up about 30 seconds early. Amateurish bollocks from the officials. Absolutely no problem with being beaten, we deserved nothing more and Wolves were the better side. All part of the learning curve for Klopp, he made some bad calls in the starting eleven. One eye on Tuesday no doubt, part of me thinks Klopp still sees life in a title challenge.
I agree completely, whole wolves forward line [3 players] all offside. As you say we were beaten but not fair and square Learning curve for Klopp indeed
Klopps crushed dreams today. Watched some lad with 3 kids struggle out before we even scored. 3 kids who will never see another game live i reckon... Ah well look on the bright side. That 4th place trophy will look great on the side board.... oh wait.... yeah there is no such thing.
What choice did he have really? Play a first 11 so they'd have to play 3 games in a week when they're clearly not up to it? Squad is not strong enough and pretty much every second choice is pants.
An honest answer would be Klopp is responsible for our team/squad in all aspects and should have made it his business to spend to strengthen our threadbare squad. We are the 9th richest club on earth yet since Klopp took over our owners have been either acting like paupers or Klopp is like Wenger and not spending when the money is there. When he took over he knew that to compete with the top clubs he had to match them as best as possible in all aspects. We as supporters see our weaknesses(ie goalkeeping/defence)but Klopp seems not to notice the obvious. Sorry for the rant KK but I'm sooooooo pissed off atm.
in the summer we sold a huge chunk of our first team back up .,admittedly for good money , but didn't replace them just hoped the ones below them would be good enough. From day 1 there was always the worry that we really had 15-16 players max & were hoping for the best. Now i'm all for not spending money for the sake of it but surely we could have signed at least 1 of a CB , LB , winger . worried that the team is imploding before our eyes
Lose to Chelsea and 'crisis' talk pretty much becomes reality. I personally would have been ruthless and got Randall off after 20 minutes, that poor ****er will never play for the first 11 again. So much wrong with today. Pathetic & embarrassing run of results
Still not laughing. Fully expect us to get beat with pognad scoring a wonder strike into his own net whilst doing the moonwalk.
The poorest of the lot was Swansea, a league game, as that was our best available team we had out there. At least against Plymouth and Wolves we have the fig-leaf of a kids/reserve team (though a depressing fig-leaf if we're honest, in that there's very few of that starting eleven today that Lambert would swap from his team). Against the bottom-of-the-table side we put out our best available side and were well beaten. I say again though, we knew this was coming - Coutinho was injured in November, and we knew Mane was going away - the fans and Jurgen seem to be acting like a truck just came from nowhere and blindsided us. It didn't. Had the first team pulled up trees and performed heroics on Wednesday: had they actually won and we had a final to go to... well you could understand, and forgive today. But are we to expect our first team will now be flying on Tuesday? And even if they were, was it worth sacrificing the FA cup for? It's not as if we;re going to pull 10 points back on them, is it?
If you complain the real tints always come out with the same old statement about you only being a spectator and not a Manager. If you knew anything about the game you would swap places. Now I've been a "spectator" for over 50 years and my only fault is I can't see past my home town team but I know what I'm watching and what they are doing right or wrong. I have read a few pages of your comments above and you pretty much all know whats wrong. I said before that Klopp needs to learn a different plan and he hasn't. If he doesn't learn one soon then that's your season pretty much over. You are right about your second string they are not good enough and if they scraped past a league 2 side like mine then they were not going to brush a Championship side away. I hope your season isn't over as I like you guys and think you deserve better than you are getting. Somebody else said it above, you have plenty of cash or should have and you need to spend some if you are not going to disappear into midtable mediocrity for the next 20 years. Best of luck for the rest of your season.
Liverpool on verge of equalling 94-year record of Anfield defeats http://www.skysports.com/football/n...f-equalling-94-year-record-of-anfield-defeats
The reality is any other manager and anfield would have been a chorus of boos at ht never mind full time. It cant last. Imo theres 3/4 things im waiting for 6 games to see. 1. Cbs actually splitting and cm standing in there.... and staying there to let fbs go. Look at henderson and lucas running on and just totally exposing the side. 2. Play balls over the top. I counted at least 10 times i could see acres behind wolves and everyone static or coming short but worse not one cm looked to play them really.. this would pin sides back and make a bit for room. Sides cant allow gaps v us but its easy when its predictable. 3. Run the channels and keep doing it. Forwards should be doing this not coming short 4. Stop bloody sticking two hands in the air and chipping it to near post from corners cos wolves just showed they fully expected it and had a counter set up to nod it out and go. And it worked. For the ****ing love of god let coutinho take and change the signals each game. 5. Play wide. Look for passes dont play within the 6 yard lines. 6. Bit of one touch eh lads. None of this is rocket science... we did these things 2 months ago.. if we cant get it back we are toast.
There is no such thing as a first team.......All reported team members that made the squad are first team players.....Klopp is not picking a team out of those squad players good enough to beat a bottom half premiership side that cant buy a win and two lower league sides.....All at home too......If that is not Klopp's fault then i dont know what is TBH....
One and two are sorted with introduction of a intelligent CM. I think we already do number three but the ball doesn't always go to them. Certainly not quickly enough. Number four is obvious and as been for an age. A DM would reduce the counter chances Five is the same as three Six is a absolute must!!!
Theres such a thing as your strongest team and then there's the squad players, our squad players are a mix of mediocre, not good enough and promoted youth, he needs to attempt to use what rep he has to sign some better than average players in the summer window or it might be like groundhog day for us next season.
How do you define your strongest team ? Are they the strongest team when you win but are not when you lose, If you are picked as a squad member before the season starts then you should be good enough to beat lower league opposition.....Some players are better than others i agree but even they dont play great every game and those on the bench having been selected should by definition be better than lower league opposition players.....
Early kick off, slight breeze blowing, you had no chance in reality. The FA and elements conspired against you
A strongest team against one opponent may not be the strongest team against another too. However, that's dependant on giving a **** about the opposition. If you take the "this is our team, come and beat us" approach them I guess you could have a strongest eleven
