1 50 sedgfield -- Ash Park , 5/2 cm compensation awaits after an unseat last time , this has good form in the book and can open his chasing account today
2.00 Leopardstown Let's Dance 2/1 Nice Grade 2 here, think this mares got a bit more speed than the others and expect her Festival price to get slashed tomorrow.
Is Mullins' form a concern at the moment. He's still sending out winners but some are not running to the high level we've become accustomed to in recent years. Any news on health of the yard on the whole? Has he been focusing too much on getting the big hitter like Faugheen/Annie and co right and lost the run of some others...
Strike rates been low (for his standards) this month STH but we see this period every year before March. They'll be right in form when it matters.
Race of the day this one. If Let's Dance can beat Monalee she's a serious horse. Getting the allowances she rightly tops the market here and with Joey Sasa and Kemboy thrown into the mix too it makes for an interesting watch. I'd be with Monalee if I were to pick one but good luck to those wagering in it
Willie will probably land one on Robert Tyner if he happens on him tomorrow at Leopardstown for running Pulled Mussel in the 3:00 Coincidentally that's where my one bet for the day is too; Elusive Ivy 7/1 - Leopardstown 3:00 was a pretty useful hurdler and having fell on chase debut she went on to run a stormer behind Slowmotion at Naas, the two pulling well clear of the 3rd. An opening mark of 120 is fair, there's definitely room for improvement in that. She has multiple entries within the next week and if she lines up today then I expect a huge run with Jack Kennedy booked to do the steering.
5 Leopardstown fancies which I will probably chuck in a Canadian: 1.30 Melon 2.00 Let's Dance 2.30 Bleu Et Rouge 3.30 Petit Mouchoir 4.30 Debuchet
Robin Of Locksley has been well backed for the first of the day, removal of headgear is fascinating and I think he should go very well today.
I've backed Prince Khurram, back down to his last winning mark and Kennedy going well for McCain. 14/1 e/w.
